Wow…..this puts a different spin on things doesn’t it.

I’ve not had the training that a copper would have in terms of controlling emotions in such circumstances but I think an attack like that by that lowlife would make many blokes respond in this way.

Tin hat time, but I'm afraid that this video doesn't change my view.

The reaction of the "victim" and his mates/brothers to the police was totally unjustified and the officers were entirely within their rights to restrain them and prevent them from posing further threat by the use of "reasonable force". In the heat of the moment and in having to deal with such aggression, to always achieve the last is much easier said than done of course. Personally, in a situation like this, I would have no issue if the "victim" or other perpetrators suffered black eyes or broken bones if the officers resorted to punches/kicks/holds themselves In order to restrain them and prevent their weapons from being grabbed. It would be a simple consequence of the "victims" own actions and tough s hit.

HOWEVER the man concerned, sc rote or not, had been already tasered and restrained on the ground when that officer kicked him in the head and then stamped on it. Understandable with his blood up some will argue but these are trained police officers and we should surely expect better control from them.

Any martial artist will tell you that if you put someone down in a real fight that you need to ensure that they cannot get up again to continue to be a threat -but they will equally stress that only "reasonable" force should be used and that to exceed this whether to exact revenge or whatever will very likely end up putting yourself in court, especially when it can be proven that the opponent no longer posed a threat.

I agree! In cases like this it’s a wonder the police don’t use guns as they do in other countries. Too soft in this country. Like that soldier who was knifed the person should have been taken out with a shot to the head!

If im seeing the video correctly (had a few beers), then this moron deserved a kick in. The police are an authority, you either comply or face consequences- especially at an airport. No sympathy from me for this guy. I had an incline something didn’t add up from the initial photos released.

Probably deliberately aimed at provoking the police, not long after all the BLM types are outside the police station claiming racism. The police should be given commendations. How would any of us feel if that policewoman who was punched in the face had been our daughter? I would have wanted to do a lot more damage to that thug than a few kicks to his head.

Tend to agree, the officer couldn’t use his fists as it would leave his firearm open to being taken, his female colleague had just had her nose broken. Case over.

Pity their solicitor didn’t get kicked in the head too!! In the circumstances the police were restrained. In the US the cops would have shot the scum and have every right too!

    This country is too soft!

If this happened in the USA or a European airport, the armed police would have shot them .
Did you know their lawyer stood in the last election, you may have seen him before posing with a super car .
