I totally agree that we need to blood young players but with the exception of Fellows, Carlos seems reticent to play the youngsters. Caleb Taylor is a case in point. He’s been on loan at least twice but still not given his chance. Bring in youngsters with potential by all means, but play them!

I think Luke Dowling had a lot to answer for. Karlan Grant and Diangana were big money signings who haven't worked out. Less said about Zohore the better.

But since he left, yes we've spent big money on wages for Swift, Wallace and Okay but they were all free's. And had we been promoted you could argue they were worth it. We will likely make most of our money back on Okay so that has been a successful signing. And there is some interest in Swift in particular. And lets not forget Asante. Dike is really the only player we've spent money on, and injuries have decimated him - and he could still come good.

They get the benefit of the doubt for me, for the time being. This window is absolutely huge though, they have to deliver or we won't see premier league football for a long time.

Hope I am totally wrong but anyone who imagines we are gonna get promoted this season is living in cloud cuckoo land. Mark my words (and i will eat them if I am wrong willingly) but we will be fortunate to avoid relegation and if we get through the season without the threat then I will be more than happy.
