Those responsible for this evenings disgraceful behavior show no love, solidarity, sympathy or consideration for those who lost their loved children in yesterdays horror. They show no consideration for the community that is currently dealing with an absolutely horrific situation.
These moronic imbeciles should be dealt with, with equal punishment as to the perpetrator of the initial crime.

Let’s get this country back to basics and deal with the likes of these absolutely atrocious moronic strain of human life and put them where they should be and that is not in any community but locked up away for a bloody long time.

How do you propose we “get back to basics” OB?

Do you not understand that that horse bolted some time ago and isn’t going to be rounded up again?

The toxic mix of mass nett migration and social media and the stirring up of things by malign forces such as Russia (according to SKY News last night, feeding misinformation on such as the attackers name and religion) make what you suggest impossible.

We are becoming America without guns, we are becoming like so many other countries where everything is black or white, shades of grey where we inhabited in the past are long gone for many.

I do agree with your points by the way, there was a large contingent of scum at that violent event last night, not a shred of thought for the bereaved etc.

Unfortunately, they are the “white” and they are fighting against an opposition who hate them with the same passion.

I still live in the grey, I suspect you do too but we are fast being outnumbered.

I have a few younger male mates and family members, all I can tell you is that the dislike of Muslims within a high number of these lads is extreme.

I know a few Indian people as well, they hate these radical Muslims more than you could possibly believe.

I worked in the grocery trade as a rep in Wolverhampton and Birmingham in the 80’s and 90’s, even that generation of Indian Sikhs and Hindus absolutely loathed the Muslims.

I found my Indian customers great to deal with, the Muslims were pretty unpleasant I have to say.

I was a very young man of 22-23 at that point, it taught me a lot to be honest.

I admire your sentiments but there’s no hope I’m afraid.

Just too much hatred, ignorance, racism and s hit stirring by both the right wing EDL lot and certain elements of the Muslim population-and not just Islamic extremists either as there was also that t wat of a solicitor who volunteered himself to defend the young s crote at Manchester airport who got his head stamped on. I still say the actions of the officer concerned were bang out of order but this guy had no intention of seeking the context/ full truth of the incident and simply used it to attempt to support his own agenda.

It has always been the case that in times of financial hardship a significant proportion of the native population (particularly those least well off) will fall under the influence of populism and traditionally it is immigrants who are used as scapegoats whether they be Jewish, Irish, Eastern European, black or brown.

Sadly, however, despite it being very clear that a great many have very genuine concerns over immigration levels, no political party has deemed it worth having an open and honest public debate about it with proper data to back up any arguments. This situation has simply enabled the right wing press and people like Farage to continue to make statements and claims unchallenged which only adds further fuel to the fire. It also helps create situations like the one in Stockport where too many c unts happily joined in as an excuse for a bit of mindless violence and destruction with no thought whatsoever for the grieving community.

Like Mick, I wish OB was right but I too think it wishful thinking. Some things may indeed be black and white, but IMHO and experience, most are varying shades of grey. Populism doesn't like that colour though. What worries me is that Mick's comment about this country becoming like America without the guns seems increasingly accurate (and whilst we may not have a gun culture, knife crime of course continues to grow).

If things are to change, I believe that one thing we need to work a lot harder at is encouraging critical thinking and a willingness to debate amongst the younger generation who too readily just accept what they read on social media or online. The internet can be a great tool to gain or share knowledge/information but it can equally be used to spread mis-information, racism, ***ism, wokeism and hatred.

Stockport?? I meant Southport -now I'm at it too😁and

Alongside news that 39 officers have been injured at Southport I've also just read that the Islamic preacher Anjem Choudhary has been jailed for a minimum of 28 years. Good! Another who spread hatred and violence, this one under the guise of religion.

I do think the far right are cherry picking what they are upset about and show great hypocrisy. Imagine if Lucy Letby, Huw Edward’s or that crossbow killer was Muslim.

The Manchester airport incident where those Muslims attacked police officers caused great upset but is this the first attack on police officers? Our own fans had a good go at the police in the wolves match.

It’s really easy to see that many people don’t like Muslims. Reality is they’re so much different to the values held by a ‘normal’ uk citizen. Their treatment towards women for one.

That said I don’t think too much of this far right lot. Mostly real scummy folk. They’ve just proved they are no better than the Leeds rioters.

As I see it the issue is integration, they either don’t want to integrate or can’t integrate, that is the problem. Question is how do we fix that, as I see it that takes significant investment in the and they are mostly **** holes that the big Muslim groups live in, and by investment that is education and jobs.

    This is a great summary.

One thing I find really distasteful is after a shocking incident like this, or any terrorist attack is the reaction from the far right and some politicians. People like Lee Anderson and Farage will jump on it and exploit it for their own political gain. It disgusts me, it really does.

And truthfully, we don't know much about the guy who did this in Southport. Is he even a Muslim? I've read he was born in Cardiff to Rwandan parents. Well, Rwanda is a majority Christian country.

In these situations you just have to let the police investigate and learn future lessons on how it could have been prevented.

In the USA many of all colours and race fly the American flag from their own properties with pride. They love to be American and proud.

Is this country - you fly the English flag you are called far right. England football fans are called far right. Any rioting they are called far right. You have a sensible viewpoint on stopping the boats many say you are far right. Absolutely crackers.

Whilst clearly there are thugs many just want to be proud to be English and don’t want the country flooded with uncontrolled immigrants!

What next turning Buckingham Palace into a multi cultural site or wipe away a lot of our history as it could be deemed too far right!

    PS - remember some statues!
