We still have Palmer and Tsaroulla unavailable, Scott is still getting back into full competitive fitness, McGoldrick while looking sharp in PSF wont play 90 mins per game. I really thought the Bros would go for it this season but would appear to have settled for mid to lower table finish!! I hate to think of the score on Saturday, They bet a very strong Blackpool side last week PSF 3-1!!
Just because the squad numbers are out today, I don’t think that means business has ceased transfer wise.

With the contracts of Jones, Scott, Crowley and McGoldrick ending at the end of this season and unlikey to resign you'd have thought they'd have put more of an effort in to promotion. Jones, Crowley and possibly Scott will be hard to replace.

Strange that we've done bugger all about Jones and Crowley. My understanding is they'd both commit if they had reasonable offers
Of course both are contracted until the end of the season but it does make you wonder whether the club is hoping bids will come in for them?

How do you know we have done bugger all? They may be in the last year of contract, we thought that about Scott, then there was an extra year.
Maybe both players have been approached and want to see how the season goes and maybe open talk in Jan if Notts look like contenders… easier for players to move up leagues when no fee is involved.
The club has recent history of getting players on longer contracts (Macca and Matty P) so would be very surprised if they have decided to change tact on that.

As for those wondering about squad numbers. Sometimes the players themselves have a number they prefer. It’s not as straight forward as there are 24 of you, here are your numbers 1 through 24. Tough titties.

I know a few people in the game so get the odd snippet of info
    Agents talk to each other
As for the spare numbers I guess number 13 isn't usually taken unless it's an overseas player where there isn't the same superstition about it being bad luck

If padding out the squad means signing the Tipton’s & Warners, I’d rather we stay as we are

It's not padding out the squad, we need strength in depth which is what the sound bites from the club have been saying but nothing
