Thread: Vitinho off next?

  1. #11
Wages and terms all sorted, just agreeing the fee now.

"Brazilian club Botafogo are targeting a move for Burnley defender Vitinho before the summer window closes next week."

The rumours are he gotta go for Botafogo but is Vitinho actually on their menu?

Seems like this rumour is wide of the mark which I am rather happy about.

"Globo Esporte believe Burnley intend to make things difficult. That’s not just over money but because they’re rather keep the player in their own squad.

According to the claims, manager Scott Parker is counting on the player and therefore isn’t keen on a sale.

The 25-year-old has a Burnley contract running until June 2027. He’s started both matches for the Clarets in the Championship so far, scoring a goal and contributing an assist, so doesn’t seem like someone they’d be eager to sell."

    Phew!

I'd have been suprised if we had let Vitinho go unless it was an offer we couldn't refuse.
Think he's a real asset, with being flexible playing right back, left back or midfield , he's nippy, competitive & brings energy and workrate.
Disappointed Al Dakill looks to be going as I think he has great potential , young , quick , mobile & developing although thrown under the bus by VK playing him at Fullback , think he'll go on to be an excellent centre half.
Good business sense with Odobert and Berge , both big profits , Sheff.utd buy Berge for 22M , we get him for 12M then sell him on for 25M , can't fault that , also Muric although I'd like he'd have stayed , he wanted gone and brings a 5M+ profit.
Love to keep O'Shea but appears he's likely to go but I'd be disappointed at a fee of 15M
Not bothered if we lose Benny & Annas depending who we bring in.
Bashir Humphrys sounds a positive purchase, not inspired by Worrall but that said , I wasn't impressed when we signed O'Shea but he won me over.

I think Worrall is decent personally, a good signing potentially.
We are rumoured to be interested in Ilan Kebbal from Paris FC, midfielder.
Also the Man U lad Hannibal Mejbri, busy player who has performed well out on loan.
Performing good business, backing up sales with decent replacements imho.

If O'Shea goes for 15 million he must have a release clause in his contract, he is worth around 25 million.
Worrall is a good sensible signing for the right money and just what O,Steve and Bashir need to help them along in their development, he brings experience and leadership at championship level

Not to bothered about losing Al Dakhil has I thought he was a little lightweight. We reportably got in the region of 8 million for him, so good business

I agree bc. O’Shea is worth far more than 15 million and if that is the value being placed it is is probably as cocked as the deal that took Pope to Newcastle for 10 million.

If O'Shea goes for that sum, the move would have been engineered by the player and his agent.

I would want to be off if I could double my wage, you can't blame him if it goes through
