Just had a look at Transfermarkt and they have Colin Steven stats. Would you believe it! Maybe something to watch. He has a couple of games, Hibs being one of them where he dished out 8 yellows. Looks like he can lose control of the game. Have not seen our game against Hibs but was it a tough match?

Not a dirty game at all,a cpl of our bookings were a joke and won the ball both times.

Yet he had 8 yellows to dish out. There has only been one other game he has refereed this season that's had more than a couple of yellows. Maybe it's a lack of experience?

Hi s players, management and more importantly the crowd sussed out early doors he was weak.....bench, crowd and players claimed for everything and got just about everything.

At throw for 2nd goal they stole 20 yards, he moved them back 10 and guy stole most of the ten back.

Wasn't a bad challenge in the game.

Some referees go card mad. They give a player a needless yellow card early in a game and create a rod for their own back resulting in them having to dish out more yellow cards than is necessary.
Bob Valentine used to be the referee’s supervisor with him submitting a report at the end of the game on the referee’s performance to his bosses as the SFA.
Several years ago Nick Walsh who is now classed as one the top referees in Scotland issued a yellow or red card during every game he officiated during a whole season.
