I don't think anyone wants to rush him back. I know I don't. Whilst Krafthacurta makes me nervous and despite the battling big hearted Dan Burn is a cult hero he's limited, I don't want to rush the Rolls Royce back. I want him rock solid and back to consistent best when he does return.

Kinda lends credence to the idea that we really should have been more open to the idea of looking further afield for a CB as the club knew he'd not be available until January (when he'll realistically play for us again).

And by more open, i mean considering more than just one fucking player.

Before the summer when the midget was still on gardening leave, I was listening to a podcast with Kieran Maguire and a former club executive, I forget whom.

However the discussion was around summer plans & the impact bringing in a replacement for the little maggot traitor would make on summer transfer plans.

The gist was that "plans are in place and a new Sporting Director will have little to no impact on the summer plans."

So despite what we all might think the wheels were in motion and changing direction is not something the incumbent set up were capable of.

Steve Nickson and Eddie had agreed on the target(s) and were pursuing them/him.

With the chinless little turncoat C-Ashworth sabotaging the summer window we were left in a position of utter disarray.

In comes Mitchell, offer to support and see what he can do. EH didn't want to change direction as they'd already made contact with Rubber face Parish for Olise and Guehi.

We all thought that C-Ashworth was some sort of Guru. Turns out he doesn't get involved in recruitment, doesn't get involved in developement of youth basically doesn't get involved in anything, 'I'm the hub of the wheel, I do coordination. Basically I'm an overpaid, glorified secretary.'

The destabilisation of that midget's decision to leave us is the key reason our summer was an absolute shambles.

Eddie Howe is a Manager/Coach - not a recruitment specialist. Of course he should have the say on who is signed but should not be involved in the recruitment other than to say yay or nay.

'Horses for courses' - We all believed that Ashworth would have a list of 3-4 players in each position lined up with the initial enquiries made. This is what we will see from Mitchell in the coming windows.

Eddie has to be more flexible in his wants in terms of players in. They can't be all English. Had Eddie not been so determined to get Guehi Mitchell could of pivoted to Mohamed Simakan, who is a future full France international with bags of UCL experience whilst at Leipzig. The lad cost Al Nassr £37m.

All this focus on a CB took focus away from the priority position everyone from the club, press, local and national, fan channels, fans and the blind man of Blythe's dog agreed we needed a Right Winger.

After the weak effort of Olise, the club seems to have zero ideas who to target as a potential alternative.

That can not be blamed on the midget, the recruitment team & the manager has to take responsibility for that failure.

If that Right Wing position let's us down, then Howe has to carry the can for that. If he pays with his job, that's on him. I'll be disappointed if he does get fired but if he's been inflexible in the market when Mitchell came in then he has no one to blame but himself.

Anyway, we are where we are. No point crying over spilt milk. The season has begun.

We're unbeaten, 7 points from 9. In the next round of the cup.

No new major injuries. Willock's knock minimal and he'll be back after the international break.

Tonali absolutely raging, dominated M'Bappe.
Gordon was class for England, so I'm told, don't watch them unless I absolutely have to.
Isak banged in 3 goals in 2 international appearances for Sweden to add to his 1 goal and 1 assist in the first 3 league matches for us.

I can't wait for the Wolves match. Not saying we're gonna batter them, it'll be a tough match, all away matches are but Tonali, Bruno & Joelinton, Isak, Gordon & Barnes up top. We will start clicking at some point, hope it's this weekend.
