I’ve nothing against Wallace as he’s a decent player, played in the right position. Having said this, by keeping Fellows, his price is only going to rise.

Wallace is slow and not a patch on Fellows Leicester and for me even in his correct position - average at best! I would get rid together with Grady!

He works hard and he's got a great attitude, he just doesn't seem to effect games like Johnston or Fellows.

I wouldn't be against letting him go, especially if we earned a bit of cash in the process.

Diangana on the other hand, I'll drive him anywhere he wants to go. He is everything that has been wrong with our recruitment in previous years. Thank God we've got decent people in charge now. Shaping up to be a good transfer window if we keep Fellows and bring in Johnston.

I agree 123 especially about Grady, Working hard and a great attitude ( Asante had these ) does not cut it with me. On a big salary I like to see talent and quality to get us to promotion.

Another reason I don't mind Jed staying is because he's a great pro. That's a good thing to have around younger players.

Having said that, he won't be getting much gametime and he is a high earner. So might be best for all parties if he moves on.

To not only get his wages off the books but also to potentially get £2.5m for him is a fantastic opportunity for us.

He cost us nothing, this is exactly the type of business plan we need to be working to.

My dad always used to admire the way the Liverpool side of the 70’s and 80’s had the knack of getting rid of even a top player just as they were about to go over the hill.

There’s an art to knowing when to let a player go, I like Wallace as a bloke and as an influence but would we really miss him on a match day, I think not.

If we saw his name in the team it’d be because the player most of us wanted in that position couldn’t play that day, that in itself is enough to warrant a healthy sale and a nice profit made on an ageing player who’s losing his ability to influence a game.

From what I've read/seen I don't doubt that Wallace has the right attitude or work ethic nor do I doubt the other attributes he brings to the team-I'm sure Carlos didn't make him captain for nothing-but I genuinely cannot recall the last game when he made a real impact.

I accept that he has been played out of position but if we get Mikey, keep Fellows and with Grant much improved, I cannot see him getting too many starting places. Given the thinness of the squad, he would be nice to keep but if we need the money then, for me, he is one player to cash in on.

As for Diangana, undoubtedly a gifted player but far too inconsistent and lightweight and I'm sure the club would shift him if the right opportunity came.

Don't think we can say 'thinness of the squad' anymore. I make it 24 first teamers plus Dike not including the likes of Faal , Heard or Whitewell.

Wallace and Diagana out would I think be great business

I think it would be more like £1m transfer fee. Even so, that would be great business I think.

With Diangana being injured don't think he will be going anywhere, Wallace was played out of position for a bit of last season but also seemed to struggle for fitness and has started this season injured and at his age is only going to get worse so if we could get a small fee and his wages off wage bill I think it would be excellent business for us.

Jed had hs appendix removed last summer and missed all pre season.
This summer he done his calf ,but pushed himself to come back weeks early . A proper pro .
He is on big wages but cost no fee , so overhaul he hasn't cost a lot .
