We have bought red diesel hoping it will turn clear.
Personally dont have a problem with what we have seen this window apart from the sale of Archie which I was dissapointed with.
Everyone asking where the goals will come from now we've lost Somerville and Rutter.... well, IMO losing Somerville will allow more game time and a different route to goal for others. Rutter not a miss regarding goal scoring, we will wait and see if any of the new signings are as good or if Gnonto carrys on in that role as per last week.
Personally beleive we will have a diamond in Joseph who is an out and out striker - something I dont think we had last season in the 9 position.
All this gloom and doom and "Poor" window because we raked in £120million but only forked out £30million tosh!
Last season we bought Gruev, Ampadu, and Kamara for less than £20million combined, had Rodon on loan who more than proved his worth - who had heard of any of them this time last year?
We Forked out a fortune on some crap in recent years - so making the comparison with what we spend versus what we recoup isn't a fair measure - look at Brentford, Palace, Brighton and others who have made a fortune in the past buying cheap and selling high.
personally feel we will be less of a one trick pony team this time around - everything wont be just going down the left every game - I may be proved wrong on this but will wait and see.
AS for the gloomy f*ckwitt being true to type, as I said a week ago he would vanish for a week or so then come back to whine about everything Leeds... and as if by magic - up he pops yesterday to pour scorn on our transfer window having not yet seen any of the new recruits kick a ball.
As with every season I am reasonably confident that we will do ok - as in my opinion we did overall last season.
Solomon looked v good yesterday - as did Aaronson.
Think we are more fluid without Rutter as he was so unpredictable not even the team knew what he was going to do.
You are almost as fond of histrionics as I am! I did NOT "pour scorn" on the activity in the tw, but I did suggest that we could, and should, have done better as we STILL don't have a proven out and out striker, and I'm not convinced that Schmitt is the answer to our LB issue (and in both cases I'm most definitely no alone in that view).
You'll note however (if you care to read my posts on the matchday thread and elsewhere) that I thought Solomon and Tanaka showed promise, not sure about the other chap as I genuinely thought the substitutions were the other way round, hey ho. I've ALWAYS said I am happy to be proved wrong and to change my opinion, as if that is the case good things are happening for Leeds, which despite the protestations from you and others, is ALL I ever want for LUFC. I have given my unquestioning support to LUFC for the first 30 years, I don't do that any more, the club EARNS my support, it's not a given (and I stick by my previous statement regarding my "hit rate" of correct assessments of new players versus that of the folks paid a kings ransom to do good works twice a year).
… and he’s back
I think we will be a better championship team this year if Bamford sits the bench
Will probably miss most of the season with injury and I also don't think he offers much from the bench.
Definitely a player who needs to start and on his day is class , only problem is he has way too many off days and truth be told injuries and lack of form have plagued him for a few seasons now.
We need a replacement and we need him off the wage bill , appreciate his efforts but its time to part ways.
