I think basically SB it was just for PR , which I do not have a problem with, personally I take things like this with a pinch of salt whilst others hang on every word , each to their own .

And there lies the problem !!!

There are people who generally believe what the club says.
And then there’s those that think everyone is trying to pull a fast one on them so don’t listen to anything what anyone says especially Barnsley Football Club.

If I thought Sormaz was lying then he would be as bad as Conway.
And the majority of supporters including myself would treat Sormaz as they did Conway.
But they don’t.

We have to believe what they tell us - that is until we know otherwise - as was the case with Conway.

So when you read or hear things like this:

Barnsley Mould

These are what THE CLUB HAS SAID.
And repeatedly say.

If you can’t be bothered, or you arn’t interested, in what the club has to say then you obviously won’t have heard about them.

It’s as clear as day - those that try and ridicule but don’t understand what’s going on are the same individuals that cant be bothered to listen to the club.

The assessment of Collins is a good tester for that.
If you believe Collins was a good HC at Barnsley then it’s clear you don’t listen to the club - and as a result don’t understand Barnsley.

I note that Sormaz is still peddling the myth/ spinning that Humphrys had to be signed by deadline day and claiming it as a great achievement to do that. As a free agent the deadline day did not apply to Humphrys. It does not apply to any player who is a free agent. They can sign for a club today if they wish.

You didn't answer the question, "What is the Barnsley Way ?" posed a few days ago ? Please help us to understand what it means.

As has been said every manager/ HC at Oakwell over many decades has had a different style. Simple as that really.

The Barnsley way. My thoughts .

Buy cheap, take a punt.
Speak to fans and ask them to “Judge us by our actions…. Then do nowt….
Raise beer prices in the ground after saying “we want fans to come early…and stay later” ( why? To pay £6.50 a pint?) …
Poor fanzone, gradual decline.
Run out of adult shirts 2 days after launch…..Kids sizes 4 weeks afore Xmas
Close car parks half an hour before kick off, (on safety grounds…whilst crowds are lower than previous years..

Close stands…..Open stands….. move supporters, move them back againÂ….
Close car park gates to create bottlenecks with fans trying to get in to South stand car park, and out of South stand car park after game… all through a small gate 5ft wide ( big trouble coming here when a big club with nasty fans visit I predict)!
No white on shirt……..gradual changes to the identity.
Fans forum….on….off….on….off

This is now the Barnsley way. Nowt to do with the way the football is played.


If you cant define your interpretation of the “Barnsley Way” Nudge….it’d be best not mentioning it again….. because absolutely Nobody, (only you) seems to have a clue, and most are fed up of hearing the words and asking you to explain it. Ok ok. Let’s calm down over this ‘Barnsley Way’ nonsense.
The Barnsley Way is the the same as all the other 91 league clubs and beyond, to win football matches.
How it’s done fans don’t really care.
Val was boring but if we’d got promoted he would have achieved god status.
I’ve seen Barnsley play, 442, 343, 433, 532, and others. They work for a while then get sussed.
The only one I’ve not seen them play is the Kevin Keegan formation, 118.
We’ll score more than you philosophy.
So if we win matches the Barnsley Way is working if we don’t we need to switch to the next Barnsley Way on the play sheet.
Seems like that’s the way DC is going to operate and if he’s successful then I’m happy and we get promoted.
