What needs to be mentioned, too, is how well the club have done to keep him fit and motivated enough for him to be able to star in an international a couple of weeks after his ban ended.

Joining the Toon and being away from the source of his initial problems has been a godsend for him. The support he has had from the club in maintaining his focus and fitness and together with the support from fans will make him a better player and person.
The fact that the Italian coach was surprised by his fitness and attitude speaks volumes and for the way we have treated him and it shows playing for the Toon won't hinder his chances within the national side and i think you will see a better Italian side with him regularly playing.

All talking about it still in Italy.

We're getting a lot of positive press over there as well.

Way we've looked after him etc.

    Will he start against Wolves?

I’m hoping we see Longstaff on the bench, but I’m worried Eddie will prefer Longstaff and we hear about Tonali playing 2 full games so soon after being out for a long time as the reason.

Let’s start with our best midfield, which is Tonali over Longstaff, and if he tires out, and he might, then we sub him at the usual 65+ minute mark.

Come on Eddie, the lad has shown he has the fitness to play 2 full games, give us the Moretti Maestro this weekend 😁
