Thread: RIP Gary Shaw.

    Nice to see the huge respect for Gary Shaw, a brilliant player whose career was cut short by injury - there is a clip of club legend Ian Taylor addressing the fans ahead of the euro game we had this week, about 150 of them in the street on the beer and you could hear a pin drop such was the respect.

    Yes indeed WCV, a top player, certainly good enough to have played many games for England if he’d stayed fit.

    He was dealt a very poor hand in reality, the randomness of wrecking his knee due to Ian Bowyer pulling him up to his feet after a heavy challenge, I’ve never heard of that before or since it happened.

    He had everything including the looks, he looked more “Duran, Duran” than Nick Rhodes in the early 80’s!😎

    If things had happened to him in this day and age he’d at least have had a great career in TV punditry etc, sadly he didn’t get that either.
