    This one's a head scratcher?

So 10 years or so ago we are for sale and the only buyer we find is a bankrupt Arab firm. We sell every player we ever can for small money and can't attract any player other than projects or youth players just coming up. Radz comes along and we end up a reasonably viable Prem team that hires one of the biggest name coaches in the world and he's a dog? Frankly, he did it on a shoe string budget...by Prem standards. He then sells us to a well healed and organized professionally ran organization that will avoid any of the looming financials rules that the FA may be implementing. I know that the rules won't apply to teams like Citeh, Chelski or Scum but they sure will apply to everyone else.

Not perfect but definitely a positive changemaker for us.

Cellino and Radz both deserve a lot more credit than they get.

Cellino stopped the financial mess and got a hold of spending (the age of austerity) and Radz set us off in a new upwards trajectory.

    We got Bielsa
    The training ground was transformed
After decades we finally got a new pitch at ER
New lights and upgraded media facilities
Signed some decent players - Rapha being the highlight
The Leeds documentaries were a highlight too
We got back to the prem
Sadly he put too much trust in Orta and when things went South he didn’t have the experience of funds to deal with it. Without him we would have had little chance of making it back to the prem so quickly

He wasn’t perfect and has his faults but seemed to be a decent guy with a good heart by all accounts.

Marathe is getting a few pelters at the moment but there are a lot of things to like about how the club is being run these days.

Other than politicians that hand out other peoples money or say whatever there audience wants to hear anyone who makes decisions that have heft and meaning are going to get "pelters" thrown their way.

Life is not full of win-wins. Many decisions will tick off some but please others. I have not agreed with all of the decisions that Marathe has made but I can clearly see that the trajectory is definitely upward. That's all you can really ask on many decisions. Are you better off now than you were previously? Will your kids be better off than you were?

If you are Leeds supporter the answer is pretty obvious as compared to the past 20 years.

Not sure about that mistakes keep happening we offload any quality we have hired incompetent manager so how can we be in the upward with a failed manager who flopped with the the better players and relies on drose like Firpo plays a crap player we bought at RB that cant defend and really does f all. He has quality up front but they play like headless chooks all over the place. This team needs to go back to basics play people that can actually play till we do that all this upward trend is BS.

Cellino deserves most of the credit, hiring forensic accountants to help resolve the “Bermuda Triangle” Bates had overseen of the financial mess, this had put many prospective buyers previously…he then introduced AR, neither perfect but a whole lot better than what we had been suffering …

Anyone listen to the bizarre comment from Farke about players wanting to bite him in the neck? Very odd.

To be fair on Farke German is an interesting language but not always a logical one !

For me the big part of learning French was understanding some of the many idioms used in basic conversation, so i suppose German is no exception.

Idioms are frustrating to learn & not always directly translatable into your native language & trying to do that often leads to some hilarity.

Did you see the Gnonto clip doing his Leeds accent doing the rounds. 🤣

Not seen that yet MT suspect it’s amusing. Farke said another strange thing which was if players are not happy not starting then they are not 100% committed to the cause and unlikely to play.

That just seems bollox - want players to be desperate to have the starting shirt surely?

Gnonto actually speaks French when home with his Ivory Coast parents who live in Leeds, also fluent Italian & German as well as great English too.

Is 'idioms' a typo and you are really referring to the Rev and Andy
