A player doesn't contribute in a home loss, fans on sites like this aren't going to be giving rave reviews.
That's football, it's down to him to put things right and give a better account of himself next time.
    Fair comment

Some folks on here are just clueless. Grant has overall, done very well, but as happens with all players from time to time ,he didn't do so well on Saturday. He is a tidy footballer, with a bit more to his game than some appreciate. Look at McGoldricks first goal at Bromley. Who chases back and wins possession, then continues supporting play and passes in to Didzy to shoot. He also affects the second goal that day.
I'm sure he will play a sizeable part this season and it's way too early after a reasonable start to be critical of any of the squad.
There does not appear to be any Cameronesque tossers in the current squad, so lets give them all the support they deserve and see how that works out. COYP

Grant also played a great first-time pass to Bedeau, who then gave it to Didzy for his first goal against Accrington.

He’s done some good things, but just needs to get into the game a little more and impact it, especially with Edwards now absent for a few months.

From what IÂ’ve seen, GrantÂ’s been fine. HeÂ’s definitely improved. He hasnÂ’t been a superstar, but then again we donÂ’t need to have 11 of those.

We do tend to favour going through Jodi and down the right. Macari does more attacking and overlapping than Bedeau. Even Crowley, all action that he is, tends to gravitate to that side. Obviously JJ is going to get as much of the ball as possible. Grant can go quiet, but I do wonder if the way we play, as above, can contribute to that in some way.

I think his movement is good and heÂ’s got a good touch. His movement has impressed me and I think heÂ’s generally tidy in possession.

On a wider note, I do think a lot of football fans either donÂ’t understand or donÂ’t appreciate the work some players get through and what they bring. Just because a player isnÂ’t running around like a loon, smashing into tackles, shouting and bawling at his teammates or the one who hits the headlines, doesnÂ’t mean they donÂ’t offer something exceptional.
