You may be right. Hence me starting the comment with, "If my memory serves me right..."

Same applies whoever he was you can't go tackling anybody too hard these days 🤣

You’re correct but Grealish was much more than a tough tackle. He controlled matches with Raggy alongside him. He imposed himself despite being about 5 ft 2! I don’t see this lad doing that.

One of the most overrated players in our squad. Very little presence in the middle, untidy, passing range capped at 10 yards, seems unaware of the need to chase the second ball.

Comparing him in any way to Tony Grealish should stop at the club who pays them.

I also think he's overrated. Breaks up play a bit but never plays a decent telling ball . Can't remember a forward pass of more than five yards

We can’t afford a hard working talented midfielder, we haven’t had one since Frecks left.We get the money for Vaulks & Ollie but never replace them. Ask T/S why.Barlaser was probably our last near perfect midfielder but wouldn’t say he was a grafter.

We can’t afford one because we’ve blow 600k (reportedly) on this one! For that money you’d expect something more at this level than we are getting.

There are different styles of midfielder and they do different jobs, his role is to break up play and then play those 5 yard passes, he does the role he is playing very well, in my opinion. When he hasn't played we have missed him. Also how much the club pays for a player isn't the fault of the player, he has no say in that. Football is about opinions and clearly this lad splits them.

Hardest working player in the team. Sets the standard.
Gets pulled out wide too much but that is usually when he is covering for less dedicated wide players.
