As for Diangana, he must be Brazilian-like in training to warrant his place. Against Cardiff the guy was downright awful and yet he stayed on until 80 minutes. I cannot see anything but a loss or at the very most another draw against Burnley. The optimism of the first few games has long gone I am afraid.
Totally agree with everything you say GW. Carlos is a good Championship manager but I think he will struggle to get a team into the higher level and keep it there. That said, he has done a grand job in getting us to where we are today and should be commended for picking us up off the floor and stabilising the team.

Agree totally, should be given a medal for what he has done over the last two years with a lazy over the hill squad, however, I think he’s coming to the end of his time with us, bizarre team selections, tactics, substitutions and a stubbornness not to change, the fixation with Diangana and Wallaceis bordering on the insane, personally I think he’s run out of ideas, might be something to do with losing one of his main coaches Michael Hefele

I don’t want to get rid of Carlos but to many of us his selections of late do appear somewhat strange.

Only 5 games ago we thought we were on for promotion and we’re still in the playoffs. We’ve had some bad luck and some tricky fixtures. Luton wasn’t great but they are a handful at home. We’ll be fine, just need a win.

Carlos is a decent gaffer and he's never had a squad that anyone could say would romp the league. He’s never had a decent budget to play with and always over performed.

I don’t think we can do better than Carlos, who not so long ago we were desperate to keep from premier league sides.

I wouldn’t get too excited and wish him gone over a bad bit of form. Plenty of times where top managers have endured dips. Be careful what you wish for!

Football is an entertainment business Matt and it’s the dire slow tedious football that’s boring the majority. Make no mistake about it - it’s the majority. This coupled with awful starting selections! Players don’t know whether they are coming and going especially a young kid like Fellows.

If knowledgeable forum members like Prando / 123 and Bomber are bored. That tells the story!

My son said let’s go to Hull. Personally I can’t face it to watch maybe 1 chance on goal and tedious slow sideways football, Sunderland have no money but don’t pay like this!!’n

Sunderland are an example of a club that have invested small amounts over the last 4-5 seasons and it’s now paying off. We haven’t been able to do that because there has been no money. Corberan has made our first two money signings this year. Sunderland have a better squad than us and better players.

Our drop off in form came when sides figured out what to do with Fellows. He’s good, but not that good. Frankly when he came on, he got beat easily and they nearly scored so maybe the call to play Wallace saved us a point!

I don’t think it’s wrong to criticise Corberan but it’s turned a little fickle, against a bloke who without money has turned us from a relegation battling side to a play off contender. He repeatedly over performs. Be careful what you wish for, this isn’t a great side and is probably where it should be in the league.

Don’t disagree with much of what you are saying Matt but it’s the style of slow tedious football that’s the turn off. Many clubs below us don’t play like this! Fellows is a kid so his confidence will be shot being in and out of the team. Fellows even not at his best would play better on one leg than Wallace!

Sick of hearing of the past. It’s November 2024 so we need to look forwards like any other business,

Starting looking at the Sheffield match with the selections which is where the momentum was shattered. Was that Lai from China? No it was caused by Carlos.

Ask Huddersfield supporters what they think of Carlos who was liked but they couldn’t stand the football.

Sunderland set up to win with the attack attack attack mentality! Who brought in these players ie Cole - Frabotta - Styles - Racic etc who won’t be on any less salaries than some of those kids at Sunderland. Remember the promising kid too from West Ham last season who was never given a chance. Would Caleb be any worse than Ajayi or should we wait for Villa to sign Whitwell?

Happy to ask any league 1 Huddersfield fan of what they think of Corberan who would have gotten them premier league football had it not been for a shocking ref.

Honestly Al, you flip flop more than Starmer. Last season you repeatedly called for Corberan to be sacked after a bad game or two. Then denied you said that when we overperformed.

Now you’re saying Wallace is lazy and we should play a bloke who can’t get in the Wycombe defence. You need to ask Lord Alli for a new pair of glasses!

Have you ever thought why you’re in the minority with your views - even on this forum. I of course respect your views but respect everybody else’s - the football is shockingly poor.

Never said Wallace was lazy but his legs have gone and he shouldn’t be anywhere near the side! Heard that before? If not go get your ears checked out!
