Thread: Lincoln match- how grim will it get?

One of my good mates is an Imps fan, I suspect I'll be avoiding him after the game!

Losing at Wembley in 2010 v Dagenham, a big build up then feeling really deflated & and a long train journey home -train I was booked on got canceled just to rub salt into the wounds

A last minute 2-1 defeat to Brentford in League Two at Millmoor at the back end of the 07/08 when the club was teetering on the edge of existence. There was a real air of resignation around the ground that day and I genuinely believed it was going to be one of the last times I saw my team play.

I really really cared back then, I'm sad to say it's getting closer to a point where I don't.

Yes, a painful day out when Alf just didn't show up at all. I thought he would have been our hero on the day having bagged 25 league goals that season.

New year's Day (2003?). 0-2 home defeat by a Wendy team rapidly sliding down the league. Our nextdoor neighbours over celebrating all evening.
New years day again, I think. Home loss 0-3 to Bury (1978?) The only time I seriously thought about giving them up.
Shrewsbury home, 0-4 first match of season (1997?).
    Bournemouth home, 2-7 about 1972.
Off the top of my head.

Considering our last outing saw us lose at Crawley, they are currently being taken apart at home and losing 2-4. Their current opponents are our next Tuesday night's visitors, Lincoln!

I'll be there but really not looking forward to it.
If Lincoln are good at keeping possession we're doomed.
It will be interesting to see what the attendance looks like compared to what is announced because I think a few season ticket holders might not bother.

I feel pretty much the same but will go to this one just because it's been a while since the last home game.
However, if it turns out to be the same old rubbish we've endured all season I wouldn't take a lot of persuading to give it a miss for a while even though I've had a season ticket for decades.
