Things aren't great at the minute but I think it's premature to ask for the sack.

He's proven he's a decent manager, he's obviously not lost the dressing room and we're not losing, so we're not miles off. Confidence is having a big impact and it's tricky to turn that around.

Could we do better? Yes, as the form hasn't been great. However, in my mind we have a squad that is somewhere between 6th and 10th best squad in the league and that's where we are.

Despite what our opinions are, we know he won't get the sack. We can't afford to pay him off and FFP will dictate he stays. So might as well support him.

Get your point Matt but clearly others see things differently. There were boos today with Maja coming off and boos at full time. Many are clearly not supporting him regardless of what you say and things will get worse if the football does not improve. People are entitled to their views. Bit like Trump it?s irrelevant what some may think as he?s clearly loved by the vast majority in the US. That?s life

The beauty of a forum. It wouldn't be very interesting if we all agreed with each other.

I think that the idea of replacing Carlos is ludicrous, despite a poor run, which all clubs have from time to time, we are still 7th. Some of our supporters believe that we have a better squad than we actually do; we often accuse fans of other clubs of being similarly deluded.

I’m certainly against sacking him but I do think that there are areas of his basic tactics that he needs to pay attention to. As has been said, we all have different opinions but my major complaint is that he is too defensively minded, hence so many draws instead of some being turned into wins. Substitutions and selection are also of concern.

Nothing wrong with Carlos and nothing wrong with the squad. Its new supporters we need. The press is like the duke of York when theyre up theyre up and then criticise when things go wrong. British disease. If we lost 9 in a row I would be thinking of a change myself. Were not. Its a disappointing spell but not a catastrophe.

    Good post Boingy.

We should not even be contemplating getting rid of Carlos. Something is perhaps not quite right but none of us know what that actually is. We do not see players in training, what little niggles injury wise they have or any individuals work rate etc.

We do have a problem in not being able to finish games off, however, as pointed out by Boingy and others, we are not losing and we are still in touch of the play offs.

This is a difficult league. Every year we hear that it is the weakest it has ever been. No it is not. It is extremely competitive and the reason for that is because there is promotion and relegation and every team has the ability to beat another. The Premiership does not offer that. It offers the possibility of relegation to probably half of clubs some sort of stability and beating the odd top side for a handful of clubs and the chance to be champions for three or four clubs. (Leicester were the exception) Now that does not make an exciting league. That said one year in it and the money troubles are somewhat relieved for a few years.

Give CC a chance. Let’s see where we are at the end of the season and go from there.

And these flipping question marks that keep popping up are most distracting.

Are you suggesting supporters at the match should not have booed yesterday or at any other match. I wouldn?t but whatever anyone else does is up to them.

Perhaps for once if you spent good money and went to a match you might feel different.

As you say something isnt quite right and with us being really hard to beat if we get scoring again which we are but even more so then we will fly up the table again. Boro were struggling early on but a bit of form and they are in the top six. Thats all it takes. I just know if we were privy to watching the team train and listen to Carlos and his coaches we would be nothing but impressed. Just need to get some wins.
