Having known DD reasonably well I can confirm NMN's statement on Kenny McLean. However if Kenny hadn't nailed his colours to the hun mast, then I don't think DD would have been so "vociferous" about him.

The irony that McLean as a purported die hard hun left us & didnt go THERE (not yet anyway), while other actual Aberdonians (& supposed actual Dons fans in some cases) went THERE without a second thought has never been lost on me.

I hold zero ill will to Kenny McLean, unlike a number of others who need no further recognition on here.

I never understood Donsdaft's 'KM is a poof' schtick ... other than the fact, he ( DD )being of similar age to myself, and to some extent, similar cultural; experience, may have read some alternative/subversive material ... like Freak Brothers, Knockabout Comix, Underground comics etc ... in which case, there is a character in some comic strips, who is gay .... and actually looks remarkably similar to KM ...

Ah've tried Googlin cos it's daein ma nut in that Ah canna remember the name o' said cartoon character .. still tryin, nae luck so far ... but in the absence o' any other explanation, that's fit Ah'm sticlin wi' .
