Hmmm…care for a rethink? We did actually defend well for forty minutes, but it’s looked like two teams a division apart…which is exactly what it is in terms of resources and transfer spends.
Two goals down and absolutely no creativity and nothing up front (two touches in their penalty area so far). This one has gone, Swale.
And Burnley to come!
Well I think that’s one win in the last ten and eight points from the last thirty! Can’t honestly see us adding to either against Burnley on Tuesday when maybe the most we can hope for is remaining injury and suspension free for the increasingly crucial visit of Portsmouth.
Likely to be a very tense Friday evening but never mind mac, the cricket’s going well.![]()

We did, though thought we looked better second half tbh. We are in somewhat of a slump, the run has got to end sometime, so on to Burnley, where rather than tense, I shall hope we can improve on today, but not the end of the world if we don't. Agree picking up pts against Portsmouth is a requirement, but a tad over the top to say crucial at this point in the proceedings.
Your right that the gulf in quality and resources was clear, onwards and hopefully upwards.
We didn't give up, but we never looked like we were trying to take anything, other than defend our 6 yard box for 90 minutes and pinch a goal with a long ball. Liam Thompson's long range effort our only shot I can remember. We seemed panicked on the ball.
Confidence is going to be low now, need a spark from somewhere before this spirals. PW needs to be the instigator.
A lot of wrist slashing online over this result. I only listened to it so it was hard to Guage. Talksport commentators made it sound like Leeds were the new Brazil and I think may have ejaculated when Leeds scored.
This result won't define our season but Friday at home vs Portsmouth could. Early I know to say a must win but I think it actually is.
I'm still team warne but can we please start to see a settled team.
Tbf he’s been forced into changes recently because of the absences of Yates (against Swansea) and Adams (yesterday). The long term injury to Nyambe has been massively destabilising and Wilson isn’t the answer - but that’s another story.
Truth is though that we were horribly outplayed yesterday, albeit by a very good Leeds side, and if you think the ‘wrist slashers’ are out now I dread to think what it’ll be like this time next week if we’re twelve games without a win.
