Vinnie is a good player, just hasn't happened for him over here and probably never will.
I rate Milne as a player, but he needs a good run of games in a settled position. A lot of our support are dubious of supporting anyone at Pittodrie with the name Milne, which is understandable given the mess the bankrupt builder had us in.
I actually thought Vinny has looked ok in some of his appearances off the bench but Thelin doesn?t seem to think he?s good enough to start games. If he?s going to be out for a while it might be an opportunity to get Fletcher Boyd back in the squad.
Thelins already said that he sees Jack Milne eventually becoming a centre back. I would imagine because he is inexperienced he is getting played at full back like Russell Anderson did when he first broke into the first team.
Ahh I missed that from Thelin.
It was my understanding when he moved up. He played several positions at Kelty.
Guess it’s hard to throw him in at CB when we’ve already got pretty raw guys in there and Thelin doesn’t seem to rate McDonald.
Milne older than I thought though - 22 in Feb. Hope he gets a run in his position at some point. Maybe once we’ve cemented second![]()

I agree. He has been rather good at full back when he`s come on for Devlin.
He was a bit raw last year when Robson played him at Centre Half. Preston pre season springs to mind. But he came onto a game, as they say. Can charge forward, has decent ball control etc etc. And , at ^ft 5 or whatever he should be the answer to the current problem off balls over the top catching our current two CH out ?
But what do I know ?!!
I reckon he has more potential than Jack McKenszie ?
It?s time to stop free falling and get on a winning run again.
We have done reasonable this season so far. Still way off from winning anything but certainly a lot better of a prospect than our previous attempts under Cormack?s control.
January?s transfer window is the most important one for a long while for our club. We can?t afford taking it lightly.
Back Jimmy Thelin. He certainly has the makings of a good manager. Let?s put the ball in his court and give him what he needs. Nothing else will do.
Backing the Dons to get back on track. A 3-0 win to bring festive cheer to Pittodrie.
Match day and our final game at Pittodrie for another year.
If the wind predictions are true, it won't be a game for hoofing it up the park.
Just wanting us to finish the year at home on a high.
Heid first into them and...
