Opposition not too shabby though, Alf. Boro worth their spot in the top 6 at present. Very competitive most outings.

About twelve months ago Alf you where "Looking forward" to being relegated back to the championship to watch "Proper" honest football, are you still hoping to gt promoted straight back up??
I have watched quite a few premier league games recently, and apart from the bottom three [Who where all promoted last season] struggle to see teams we could reasonably hope to compete with next season without significantly improving our squad.

Just my opinion Alf - just wonder what yours is now?

TBF Tichi,I prefer to watch the championship games,I've not watched any Premier league games whatsoever..Whoever goes up will struggle to stay up unless they spend an incredible amount of money 💰 That's the way it is nowadays, best money spender wins . So wrong.

Obviously we all want our own team to play at top level, but for me everything about Premier league is so false ,from VAR ,refs, faking injuries etc.

Tend to agree, as I say I have watched quite a lot of Premier league games, and even the West Ham/Bournemouth/Brighton/Palace games seem to be played at real pace and skill - that is alien to the championship, Ipswitch, Saints and Leicester are taken apart nearly every week, as you also say there is so much playacting and VAR to prevent the celebrations being instant, plus the referees are definitely always on the side of the big boys, and the "Clear and obvious" bull**** used when applying or not applying VAR is a simple get out that all refs can use to explain away decisions both for the big clubs and against the minnows. So much as I want Leeds to win every game I am not too sure I want what everyone else wants.

I just can?t see anyone from the championship staying up, which is sad, because in the end it all seems pointless, caught between a rock and a hard place as the saying goes.

Read an article recently saying that this new superleage that is being mooted is partly due to the Premier league now being so good that its difficult to get into it and stay there, but more importantly for the big boys, they are no longer virtually garuanteed to get into Europe each season - look at Man Utd and even City this season, the likes of Forest/Bournemouth, Villa, Brighton and Fulham are all more likely to finish above SCUM than below them, so they want a new massive competition that will take the money currently ploughed into the Premier league.

    Just food for thought.

I've also watched a decent number of Prem games.

I think that there are more than 3 teams that we could match up with. In fact, Scum, West Ham, Crystal P, and the 3 recent promoted teams I'd put some money down on us. A pure striker and keeper and we match up decent with them.

Lpool looks really good and their front line is incredible. Not even in the same league as the other 19 teams.
