Where is the political opposition to Net Zero? Just because you disagree with the way carbon reduction is being imposed on us does not mean you cannot ask for a rethink. Miliband knows that his policies are having zero effect on the world's climate. He could get support if he sorted out the price of electricity and invested in small scale nuclear power stations. Most Greens would have a fit, but every other person would think it was brilliant.

Instead of investing in AI, we should be trying to improve battery performance. The raw materials seem to be found in Russia and China and Africa so the West is at a disadvantage. Industrial revolution was based on coal, which we could exploit, then oil which again the West could exploit.

Future not looking good for us, under the Miliband lunacy, imo.

Miliband is as bad for the UK as Corbyn would have been. An absolutely hopeless individual. Cheap public transport would seem an obvious objective to discourage car use. Ours goes up in price all of the time, thinking rail fares. As for batteries, we always seem to discount the environmental cost of disposing of them. Nuclear power seems an obvious solution but the 'friends of the earth' mob despise it.

Nuclear is a no brainer but the detractors will just say they don't want another Chernobyl. I don't think these people realise the steps forward in safety since Chernobyl nor that Chernobyl wasn't exactly what you'd call well maintained.

Miliband is another useless MP now a Labour Government minister pushing his own agenda with no consideration for anyone else’s opinion.
Patrick Harvie of the Greens knows that the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (UNIPCC) are only estimating the CO2 emissions from Peatlands throughout the world instead of obtaining the correct information because Wee Pat sent me an email in March 2024 enclosing the information.
The UNIPCC up to 2021-22 which was their latest published report stated that they are only estimating the CO2 emissions from Peatlands throughout the world.
The UNIPCC are the group who organise the annual COP jamboree in a different country each year.
Wee Pat was a Scottish Government minister at that time before Useless binned him but surprisingly Wee Pat replied to my email himself instead of getting one of his lackies (Scottish Government civil servants) to reply on his behalf.
