We were a bit unlucky, but Watford were very good on the break in the 2nd half, I thought they probably earned their win.

It is starting to get a bit concerning now. Let's hope Lars give us what we need. Also think warne needs to stop chopping and changing so much.

I think we will still be ok but not as comfortable as it once looked.

Admire the optimism of both you and Swale but even amongst you two there is a theme developing of ‘stop chopping and changing’.

Unfortunately the facts are, I think, that we’ve won just four of our last 21 matches and taken 18 of 60 available points.

That is relegation form in anyone’s language, and after an encouraging opening to the season, has been for a while.

Obviously I genuinely hope I’m completely wrong and your optimism is well founded, but looking at the fixtures ahead, unless there’s a recovery of Lazarus like proportions, I doubt we’ll have added more than another five points by this time next month.

At what point do we recognise that the manager is living up to his reputation of being able to win promotion from L1 but equally unable to build on that?

Not joining the ‘Warne Out’ clamour but a genuine question which I think is going to require an imminent answer.

My gut feeling is Warne stays and keeps us up, just. Then a change is maybe made in the summer.

Warne says we are not sleep walking into relegation! I agree..... we're doing it
    full monty!
As rA says facts are facts, our form over some time is bottom three!!
Oxford are picking up points, Pompey have recovered from a bad start, Hull have started picking up points leaving us and Plymouth wallowing.
Whether our Norwegian lad is the messiah time will tell but I won't get too excited yet! Warne has openly said that getting crosses in is his ball game so this lad had better deliver or we ain't got much else to offer!

thing is if we go down, there is more chance of warne being here than if we don't i reckon

I still don't think we will though

My dad does but then he shows about as much optimism as a serial killer on death row at the best of times

Two things I picked up on yesterday

Bravery. First, 90 seconds in, Yates headed into the side netting. And he stayed on his feet. Lower league soldiers from the past, say Davidson or Rasziak, would have thrown themselves at that and we'd have been one up with them tangled in the netting or nutting the post. Not enough bravery there, not enough bravery in general. Second, I see NML as being in the same 'lost his sheen' position as Hourihan last year. Around this time last year, Warne was brave enough to drop Hourihan, IMO he should do the same now and drop NML in favour of CBT, who impressed enough yesterday to get the crowd chanting his name, Ward, or even a moved-forwards Wilson.

Forwards. See above about bravery but we DID have opportunities yesterday - the Yates chance, the NML crossbar hit, a couple of goalmouth scrambles in the second half, a chance for Adams that he fluffed - a 'proper' forward would have poked one, maybe two, of those in. I don't see the love for Yates and genuinely didn't notice Jackson was playing for the first 30 mins, we desperately need this new fellah to deliver and preferably Brown, Collins or another signing to come good

Makes sense. Darren Moore and Warne are mates. No great upheaval for Collins and he’s proved he can do it at L1/L2 level, although sadly not in the Championship anymore. Wish him well, grateful for his efforts last season and it should free up wage money to go towards, hopefully, a midfield leader.

Not played a part this season, and doesn't make an impact off the bench. Good luck to him if he does

I share your frustration that there isn't a 'leader' on the field but I wouldn't want one at the expense of someone who could actually play the game, I've seen elsewhere on social media some sheer fantasy suggestions, but Mackays and Stimacs are hard to find never mind at the sheckels we can afford. Personally I'm more hopeful of returning soldiers (Ozoh especially) and rehabilitated ones (CBT if Warne is brave enough) than of any high impact new ones entering 'the building', and I hope Warne isn't pushed by the weight of public opinion into making another 'Springett-style' (I could name others) mistake.
