    Yeah, I know, thought he was born in Oldham though. I just wondered if these rules (or whatever they are) focused on for what country you play your football (if you represent a country).

    Can't see it given he was born in England and also came through an English football academy, in this instance Burnley. Interestingly he was also eligible to play for Ukraine too because of another grandparent.

    So he's about as Hungarian as he is Ukrainian and I don't see him taking up arms against Russia, applying for a Ukrainian passport or relying on Ukraine's FIFA coefficient to play in England either

    To the best of my knowledge it really doesn't matter who you represent internationally re foreign player quotas. If it did there's a whole load of African born British passport holding footballers who've come through British football academies to take into consideration.

    Ed: Essentially Callum's background and 'homegrown' player status holds more sway in this instance than a few caps for Hungary. That's what I was trying to say anyway but it may have got a little lost in translation 😉.
