Just saw this interview Thelin did on sky sports.Similar to the other post match interviews but a bit more blunt.

He is absolutely spot on with what he is saying and I really hope Cormack stands by him and makes it abundantly clear to the players.

    Quite right.
We need rid of all this foreign muck and bring Lenny in.

It's time we understood that what AFC need to return to greatness is MORE short-term thinking.
    It's the way forward.

I?m sticking with him. On think on the whole he?s brought in a higher standard of player and we now need to clear out the old guard. I?ve resisted that sentiment until now, but we need to start afresh. I want to give him another window and a close season.

Having calmed down a bit from yesterday Im still backing Thelin. I might have been starting to turn if he went on about staying humble and back to the training ground post match interview spiel but the fact that he has had a go at the players shows he sees what most of us can see.

There are players who are low in confidence but there are also players who are not putting in the effort. Not entirely sure why that is but it been a recurring issue for us for years.Thelin needs to weed those players out of the team and start giving young players an opportunity, they cant be any worse than some of the first team players.

Hopefully the fans and the board make it clear to the players that we are going to stick with Thelin, if they dont like it then they can leave anytime they want.

The players know that Dave Cormack has their backs so we are going to be looking for our 5th permanent manager in 4 years soon enough.
If Dave Cormack has the backs of that shower of spineless wasters over his manager then hes a fuucking idiot.

Theyve seen off 3 managers (4 if you include Warnock walking) so why would anyone back them.

We need to stagger though to the end of the season avoiding the bottom 2 places, and then absolutely clean house.

Personally I would bin every single player signed before Thelin took over - & probably a couple since though the likes of Nisbet will be away anyway.

None of them have earned the right to stay at AFC. Not good enough, not mentally strong enough, absolutely no professional pride. They can all do one.

He will be known as Jimmy Turnip and it is a well suited name under the current circumstances.
We all know he is a dead man walking (in managerial terms).
He seems a nice guy but I only judge a manager on how their team plays and what results they achieve. He has been overseeing a disastrous run of results (the worst league run in history) and it must be stopped before we as a club get ourselves in a situation that it takes a while to recover. We all know we are going to plummet down the league after the next 4-5 leaf matches (at best).
Get someone in now who can steady the ship and have a chance of trying to get us fighting for a European spot (as this is where we make better money).
This season should now be about credibility. Get someone in the door who can give us this.

I am not on the hat after my ban

This run is beyond belief, any other manager would have been punted at 10, Defeat next week and its over I fear.

I am still hoping he can turn it around as we can't keep sacking every February as soon as the window shuts.

Everyone from the previous regimes should be out the door they don't give a fk. Warnock obviously realised he had been put on a boat with a major hole below the plimsoll line and couldn't wait to run.

Even if he gets some points on the board as soon as the Swedish season starts and Halmstad or Norkopping are looking for a boss he will jump at it.

If no strikers arrive tomorrow then I think we are in for a long dismal wait until next season.

Its the players not the manager that has caused this rot.

If you go back to Stephen Glass there are only 2 players left from his last match in charge which was a 2-1 defeat to Motherwell in the Scottish Cup.

Vinny started the game and McKenzie came on so the rest of the players from that era are gone. Unfortunately even though we have a completely different squad from that season we are still getting the same weak performances we did back then.

Shortly after Goodwin replaced Glass as our manager Dave Cormack did an interview where he said that he had a meeting with some of the senior members of the team asking them if he should sack Stephen Glass after a defeat to Dundee the previous October. He said that the players talked him into giving Glass more time as manager to get things right.

That was a huge mistake from Cormack and I really hope he has learned his lesson from that one. He better not be asking the likes of Shinnie and Devlin the same thing about Thelin.

Seen this referenced a lot. As though it’s the same team over and over.

Over a third of the squad came in this season.
Only Mackenzie and Besuijen have played for all 4.
Add Clarkson, Duk, Morris, Polvara to those who played under Goodwin. (Shinnie only came in at the tail end)

Would be better if it was the one team, but it’s several!

Not to excuse these individuals but again I’m harking back to the lack of Technical Director.

Is our model wrong? Is our mix of project/model players to experience skewed?
Like Warnock says are we concentrating too much on data?
Not a fan of him but can’t say he’s not experienced.

With how Jimmy spoke in the build up to the window I fair thought we’d we seeing some experienced Scottish players come in.
    That’s not transpired (yet…hope springs eternal…I’m a dandy after all…).

I’m still fully behind JT but it’s moot if he’s not getting fully supported, and I don’t just mean Dave flinging money at ‘the model’.
