    They do own their ground.

All in all I'd say we're equally sized.
We played Shrewsbury in the semi-final that year. Won 3-2 at home. Were losing 0-1 at 90 minutes. Played extra time and we leveled.
Older Shrewsbury fans are still aggrieved that away goals weren't used as in all the European tournaments.

21st March 1961 we beat Shrewsbury at Millmoor 3-2 and on the 29th of the same month we drew 1-1 at Gay Meadow their former home. Good old days.

And in the days with not even 1 substitute let alone 7 (or usually 5 or 6 in our case ) we also played on March 25th and on April 1st, April 3rd and April 4th that year. The last 2 were both against Derby County, both league games on consecutive days, losing 3-0 at The Baseball Ground and drawing 1-1 the next day ay Millmoor.

Shrewsbury's certainly a lovelier little town. I once bought a guitar amp there. Another time I had the first of 45 courses of curry to celebrate my 45th birthday... throughout that whole UK 'tour' I never wanted for space at the bar or getting served first 🤣
