I'm sceptical but Alan nixon is often reight. I would doubt warned would come back bit you never know. I would drive to Tickhill myself to bring him back.

I think he could get a lot more out of this squad than stevie. Players would play for the manager and each other. They would be fitter generally and there would be some basic tactics which they all would work to.

Yes, but there is more to it than that. After warne left, assets were sold then all the excessive money and stupid contracts which were unprecedented by any of the past happened. It cannot all have been about spending limits, as it got reversed. And boy have we suffered by it.
Poor managers do not help though.

And just who is going to come in, and buy him out, lock stock and Hugebill?

Cannot see Warne even being considered as replacement head coach at NYS.
Cannot see Warne even wanting to return to NYS for that matter.
Those in the know do know you know.
Those that don't know don't know you know.

But don't ask me cos I don't know you know.
It's great to be a Miller.

Legend really? Ronnie Moore was releaved of his duties here as a manager he didn't walk out on the club. Breck a real legend here & for the town itself for the money he raises for Rotherham hospice.

I'd drive to Timbuktu to get him back, but it won't happen. There's no Vaulks, Wood, Frecklington type players here now, there's little buzz about the place, he'd have no recent working knowledge of the club, and there would likely be some pretty damaged bridges to sort. On top of that, he's got a degree of respect in the wider football community which would mean he'd command a higher salary than we'd ever think he's worth (TS at least).

There will be no second coming.

Won't happen and if I was PW i wouldn't take the job either, he achieved a lot no reason to come back and damage his RUFC record.
The main reason it won't happen is SE & TS relationship, SE likes the limelight and TS is happy for him to have it, deflecting away from the backroom issues at the club.
I believe that is more important to TS at the moment than on pitch success. As long as SE keeps us in midtable in L1 he will be manager next season if he still wants it.
Evans like a lot of player turnover, and there will be a lot this summer with a lot of contracts ending so he will be allowed to do some business, but with key players like Powell going into his last year of contract we will have all of the Odoffin fiasco debate about Powell etc again. SE is very good at talking to the press about such enormous screw-ups.
Remember all he has to do next season is not lose in the cups to L2 (or lower) clubs and get us in the Top 10 and it will be an improvement on this season, if he can do that on a lower budget than this then TS will love him forever.
