    I had heard, either here or Stall on Magpie Circle, that the pitch had been damaged by the flare things that Sky brought for the TV game. Apparently the heat killed the grass. So, yes, an injured pitch!

    The pitch went wrong when Saunders left. Who knew he was involved in virtually everything.

    That would be crazy if true. Let?s hope we tell Sky where to stick them next time (and it?s not on the pitch).

    There looked to be a couple of burns in the kop end penalty area that are being patched

    It was a close cut for it to be ready in time for the season start. Maybe that's taken it's till.

    By the time they had finished all the major work last summer and the new seed went down, it wasn?t long until the start of the season.
    Hopefully, when it is re-seeded this summer it will have more time to mature.
    Or else they are going to have to connect the undersoil heating to help promote growth.
