No offence min, but I still reckon you are just a troll.

You have no idea how we train as a team, not a clue. Just like you're not privvy to what goes on behind the scenes at the club.
It could be our players can't cope with playing in big games, it happens and sure it is a common theme when shopping in the footballing bargain bin.

We've discussed it all to death and you either follow the dons or take up something else if you can't handle disappointment as it's the only thing you are guaranteed following us.

I got an excellent book read last night when the football was on, no point getting worked up over a foregone conclusion.

Might not earn me top red points, but I'm eagerly awaiting our next game on Sunday and the cup game on the Saturday.

    Life's ower short min.
    What was the book?

I am not a troll, just a Dons fan who wants to win and will accept no less.
Can I ask why you eagerly await our match against Dundee United and Queens Park? The way we conduct ourselves we are giving ourselves no chance of winning the Scottish Cup and the match against Dundee United is meaningless.
I was brought up watching Alex Ferguson’s Aberdeen team. They had a real go at anyone. Not always successful but it was certainly not for trying. His team tried harder than anyone else in the country…he pushed himself to the maximum and gave his team every opportunity to win.
Today was probably a day off for our lot after the absolute doing last night. I wonder how many of our players went into Cormack Park and worked on things that would improve their game. The whole lot of them should have been in and demanding extra from their manager. That’s not the mentality at Aberdeen though (nowadays)….playing FIFA and pretending about football is their lot.
Let’s have a look at them when playing in their next match against Celtic and see how they react. I don’t want to hear excuses for players not trying hard enough. Money has nothing to do with it.

Nae bad, but nae his best.

I?m awaiting the final part of his elements quadrology. Earth, Water, and Fire have been very very good. I?m hoping that Air lives up to the standard (and that they win the Championship).

I enjoy going to games. I especially like going to Pittodrie.

Dundee United isn't meaningless as we are playing for the bragging rights of third place and always good to f*ck them over and put them back in their box.
Granted it's not much to crow about, but better third than fourth and so on.
As long as we are in the cup we have a chance to win it.

You really have to let go of the 80s team min.

We'd all love to have a squad as capable as back then, but modern football wouldn't allow it.
It was a one off. The coming together of a good youth policy, shrewd signings and a once in a lifetime manager. Will never be repeated.

Money talks in football now. If you think we are getting any better through working harder and application you really should take up tiddlywinks as Scottish fitba isn't for you.

You don?t get my point. It?s simply because Aberdeen FC don?t work hard enough to win things nowadays is why we are where we are. Celtic can be beaten and if our club would all seriously up their game we would give ourselves a far greater chance of success in all competitions.
I will say it again?money doesn?t make you work harder as it?s all in the mind and having the desire to do it. Aberdeen FC have been short changing Scottish football for years and will continue to do so if they keep using money as an excuse.
We can win trophies but only if we give ourselves the opportunity. No one will just hand one over in sympathy.

Out of curiosity?.who here can pick a player who you think gives their very all every match?

Does Jimmy Thelin do enough as a coach. Are we strong and imaginative on set plays are we strong in tactics and are we filling a starting team with good players?

If you are struggling to think of a player etc and see what I mean in the paragraph above then you will see how you are being short changed.

There is a certain age group of our support who cant let go of the 80s and my dad is one of them.

Performances and results against Celtic like the other night are usually followed with a ?Fergie would never have put up with that ? comment. I used to get wound up by it but I just ignore it these days.

Before we even attempt to challenge Celtic as a club we should be attempting to challenge other clubs in Scotland first.

St Johnstone have won more trophies than we have in the last 25 years and thats embarrassing.

No disrespect meant to clubs like them but when you see the likes of ict and Ross County win trophies when the cheeks have been off it we have completely arsed up an opportunity to win more trophies.

Im not saying we should be winning all of the trophies when Celtic get papped out of the cups but we should have won more than 2 league cups since 1995

Devlin gives his all in every game. The loon never hides on the pitch and I've watched him play through pain in a red shirt. I'd say the same with Shinnie, but not wanting to upset the anti Shinnie brigade.

I don't think any of our players go out on a pitch and don't try. They may not be having a good day or they are struggling with the tactics or a injury . Some are possibly just not good enough for us or can't play in the positionsl/role being asked.

If you really think money doesn't play a part in the game, then I'm never going to convince you otherwise.

I don't think it it too hard to understand, that in most cases buying a player for say £5-10 million and paying them north if £30k a week will lead you to having a better team. That is what Celtic do.

You're not a young loon and I can safely say that you remember Man City before they were bought by the arabs.
You seriously trying to tell me that they could have went on to win countless trophies with the likes of Andy Morrisson, Shaun Goater and Paul Dickov instead of Kompany, Aguero and De Brunye.

    Just never going to happen.
