Does anyone know why season tickets are included in the match day attendance irrespective of whether the season ticket holder turns up or not?

Good point Grist. There are 2 things I have NEVER recommended to people....restaurants and solicitors because if it goes t*ts up,it's your fault.Maybe I should add The Millers to that list!

I suppose I have a similar decision to make in terms of whether or not to continue paying for a full season subscription to I Follow. The cost is of course quite a bit less but the principle is the same.

It actually never occurred to me not to. The football is dire but I wouldn?t miss the occasion or the sense of belonging that it provides. There is always the expectation that something good will happen. It generally doesn?t but that doesn?t stop me wanting to be part of the tribe.

I suppose I don?t have the hassle of getting to and from games. I just turn the computer on -which does make a decision to commit financially to watching that much easier.

There aren?t that many others that get up to watch it at the ungodly hours you and people in America do.

    I couldn?t not renew.

Woah is us. We have it so tough as Rotherham fans.

Just *maybe* the owner who has delivered that period of, relatively speaking, incredible success... just might try and change things in the close season so next season is more exciting?

The negativity and expectation of our fan base is tragic and delusional sometimes. Some don't realise how good we have it and inexplicably think Rotherham is just full of wealthy benefactors lining up to buy the club and throw all their money at bankrolling us to the Premier League if only Tony Stewart would stop standing in their way.

    It's embarrassing.
Let us just accept it quietly and remember all of the promotion years, The relegation years and the times we had producing international players.

The big factor about that is that there is only one change that has happened recently and that is the appointment of Evans. The changes just before that with the director of football was a step forward for us but it was cut through the want of Evans.

I think they are included because they represent tickets sold.
If the announcer said "the number of tickets sold for today's game is xxxx" it would be far more accurate and realistic than saying "today's attendance is xxxx" when it is clear to everyone there are so many empty seats.
I would be genuinely interested to know what the true attendances are (actual bums on seats) because there is no doubt a lot of season ticket holders have stopped going and this has been the case for quite a while.

Renewing or not, one thing is certain, nobody will be listening to the hype coming from Evans or the club

I don't have the answer but it's shameful that they are included. They must know the reality for fire regs etc.

I wonder if other clubs all work the same.

I'll be renewing my ST. Sometimes it's very entertaining when some fellow supporters vent their spleen by shouting, 'Rubbish, ref!' every few minutes.
Better than watching paint dry? Yes.

Better than shopping at Meadowhell with her indoors? No comment. She reads this site. Lol.

Am I under the thumb? No comment. Another lol.
