The club needs a reboot rather than promotion straight away. Let's build up the youth section with players that can realistically come through the ranks.
Sadly, it won't happen under SE.

The new fans want to be in the championship whilst others want a team to identify with.
Evans is hitting absolutely none of those, despite their apparent variety. Some achievement.

He is however hitting the one which states "Some fans just want somewhere (not called Meadowhall) to go on a Saturday afternoon and have a good moan".

That's why I said he will never get it right. He's not the type of manager rufc need at this present time. When he first arrived all the fans wanted was success. He delivered that.

If his aim was to do that this season he has failed so let?s hope he can do it next.

There is no doubt that the structure we had before which was to buy cheap and make a profit has been forgotten even thought the club say it hasn?t. We have no players left at the end of next season that are here now.

It?s sad that we have lost our team connection as fans. We just feel sorry for players being called out. I don?t want that and I doubt many fans do!

So i think we will have a good season next season and we will be higher in the league.
I do not think we will be any closer to what the club say they want!

I?ll support the team and the club but I long for the day Evans is no longer our manager.
As posted above M8. If fans thought that's what Evans would deliver then they were way off the mark. All SE wants is to be king of the castle.
TS brought Evans in because he thought that's what fans needed and the boost it would bring the club. I don't think for one minute he thought it could back fire like it has. Some say he brought him in to sell season tickets. Maybe that's one slant on it, though deep down I'm not sure TS looked at it that way.

I fear for this club, if they are even considering him being manager next season.

"Getting it right" for me would be to restore the connection between the club and the fans by creating a team that people look forward to going to watch even though promotion may be a step too far.
At the moment the club has fallen so far that it is a long way short of achieving those relatively modest objectives and, unfortunately, I don't have any faith in Evans' ability to deliver them.

SE won't get it right next season. We will have to sign in the region of 12 players again this summer. Then the old excuses will reappear. Then the season after it will be all the 2yr contracts are up and the cycle continues.

We have no saleable assets after Haks/Cam walk away, maybe Nombe if someone is daft enough.

When SE has finished we will have no youth coming thro at all.
