The main difference after just one full day's training was the players' effort and commitment to the cause and that was great to see.
The result was more important than the quality of the football but that was a good start and hopefully the first step towards better things.
Saturday should be interesting against a better team than Northampton and with a very experienced manager but I'm actually looking forward to going for the first time in quite a while.

I was telling someone in the pub that we were certs tonight. I wish i had put the house on it. All our away wins have come on the first day of the month and with the new manager syndrome we were bound to win.
Well done all what a breath of fresh air. Looking forward to the game on Saturday for the first time in ages,

Well, the endeavor was there but still lots to do, and get rid of. How many time did we get caught in possession? Worse was Mzampu trying to be clever with the ball when there's no need...

A win is a win...............move on to Sat, it's be interesting to see how many fans return from their self-imposed exile............utm.

Congratulations Matt - no-one can ever take that achievement away from you.

However, I imagine you looked on with some despair at the midfield. Complete overall required.

Good riddance Evans - the Hamshaw era is now well underway!!!!!!

Good to see the players enjoying playing for Hamshaw, he went to every player at the end
of the game, then he & the players grouped together, before going over to the Millers fans
to applaud them for supporting the team.
How the public relations have changed with fellow managers since Evans left the club.

Midfield Sibley not in the game. Kelly a passenger. Mpanzu know I said showed up better on the right but 2nd half didn't. Keep saying it but if we can get McGuckin back do to play on the right.

    Much better
I actually enjoyed a lot of that particularly the first half.
A good first game for the new management team, not bad after pretty much one day.
It was helpful that Northampton were pretty poor in front of goal and Saturday will be an interesting test.
Very good contribution from Cam Dawson and motm on fotmob app.
As elk said nice to see that togetherness back after the end.

    He's one of our own.....
