It's Islay that's thrown another deflection in by stating Gordon Strachan's full name out of absolutely nowhere.

It's becoming really annoying the way he does this, changing subject time and time again on thread after thread as soon as someone calls him out on something. Surely when he throws random nonsense about he can expect to be quizzed on it?

    Tend to agree with ericsinclair.
    New stadium
    Revamp Dens
Sell up, hopefully to a strongly financed buyer. Might be interesting if they dropped the stadium and put in some more housing to Campy, could that provide the money to revamp one of the stands at Dens, or mean that they needed less to relinquish their ownership?
Don't see Tannadice as a viable option, but I know others fear this is an option.
It showed in Strachan's supercilious comments what the fans of this club and it's history is actually thought of by Nelmsy and his inner sanctum.

    Contempt, contempt and more contempt.

Maybe he was not reported accurately? He might have been trying to encourage the support to get more behind the new stadium.
Would like to be more positive about the new stadium but I think the supporters need to try to ignore this and concentrate on getting into 10th spot ASAP, and staying there.

Personally I wouldn't miss the current owners, yes it would mean the uncertainty of an unknown coming in and who knows where we'd go from there?

However if you think about it and just ask yourself the question - what certainty do we have right now with the current owners? My opinion - none.

    Managers get backed,shortfall gets covered.
We probably have 2 ways to go,get a maga rich buyer(no gonna happen) or scale down a bit and possibly end up like Patrick or Falkirk but with a stadium to develop.
I do get the frustration with nelms but we all know our history regarding owners.

To be fair backing managers and covering shortfalls are expected of boards. Nelms and Keyes aren't doing anything that most boards in the top two divisions aren't doing.

Well, maybe one thing they're doing different - they're sticking all their Easter eggs into one Easter basket that depends on the good will of an organisation they've already pushed to near breaking point to work out whilst the club's home crumbles before all our eyes.

    Pretty much.

There is very little goodwill between fans and nelms/Strachan.....and vice versa.

I wouldn't even call it an uneasy truce, both want as little to do with the other as possible now.

Terrible indictment on leadership of club.

Before social media got going, owners could try to stay out of the limelight and let the playing side deal with the fans, imo. It just isn't working like that for us and the owners. TD keeps his comments limited to the results and post match interviews. There isn't a figure, like Scot Gardiner, who could try to deal with the fans while there was a chairman.

John Nelms is a one man band, I think by choice, and he is on a mission impossible as a result.

Maybe the fans should just get behind the team and as you say forget about John Nelms.

If the team and the fans are together, isn't that enough.
