I can remember playing in the Spring medal at Downfield off the back tees.
I was needing to finish 3, 5 for 82 but I managed to finish 2,3 (birdie, birdie) for 79.

Tough climb dode but well worth it, greensomes so not quite as draining.

I have not had a game of golf on Pitlochry golf course for about 50 years. The first 5 holes were a killer.
Craigie Hill is another killer of a golf Course as you need one leg shorter than the other one to play golf on it. Fortunately both Pitlochry and Craigie Hill golf courses are short in length.

The weather forecasters are speaking about snow showers on the mountain tops on Sunday but I think that the 5th hole on Pitlochry golf course will be below the snow line.
Around the 9th/10th holes there used to a metal cup where you could drink water from a local spring. It used to be a godsend on a hot day.

Thanks for the information. Unfortunately Taymouth Castle golf course is no longer open to the public. It is now owned by rich Americans.
