Excellent.
I wish him the very best of luck with whatever he chooses to do next - he certainly tried his best, however that is absolutely the right decision for the club.
To quote the much missed Soccerman: *We are Notts County - we move on*
Good luck for the future Stuart.
Excellent news for all Notts fans that like to enjoy their football.
Feel sorry for him having made the leap from his BT job and I kept hoping he would find his way but I think in the end it was just beyond him. He wasn't terrible, had some bad luck and I hope he finds a job somewhere in football. He's still on a learning curve and fighting for promotion in a high pressure environment wasn't the place to learn.
Well that's the end of that chapter in the Notts County Journal of Achievements. The right decision eventually but wish the bloke well and hope he gets another chance.
We've had worse, though given the position we were in at the time he was appointed on the back of the momentum and crowds we were getting, employing a part time manager with no professional experience as a player who'd never achieved anything better than 13th in the NL was arguably one of the most stupid appointments of all time.
I hope a lesson has been learned and that's the last we see of the cheap option experimenting. The support we now have deserves far far better.
I doubt the information is available but it would be interesting to see who did apply for the position along with SM.
Hopefully the Reedtz's have realised we can't play the tippy tappy style in this league, interesting few weeks coming
