I was totally disappointed in the team as a whole, I expected them to bolt out of the traps like hungry dogs out for blood, instead we got players with visions of sandy beaches and flip flops.

"bottled" is entirely the wrong word, imo.

Yes, we played shit but, with what was at stake, we just didn't seem to know what to do. Everton took advantage, played well and deserved their win.

But, after what these players have achieved for us this season...'bottled it'...howay man, Phoney.

    It's a brave new world.

We are winners and lady luck smiles of those bold souls!
We were very unlucky last season to miss Europe due to ManU beating City in the cup final. But, ironically, if they hadnt we likely wouldnt have made CL this year due to the extra games.
It all comes back to one root problem IMO: squad depth and so, STEP UP Mr Mitchell.

To bottle it is to completely throw it away. That would mean that we would have finished 7th and blew UCL football.

We didn't, we finished a deserved 4th with a few sh!t results along the way.

Forest you can say bottled it. Unfortunately for them they went to pieces. Shame would have liked them to beat Chelsea to the Punch.

It is what it is. Off to Barceloooooona!

Well you say that but swap us in to the Europa League competition and we win that all day long which would also have meant qualification for the UCL thrashing Spurs, again, this time in the final.

Corrrct. I reckon Nuno will be saying to his players that they can get to the final of the conference, look at spurs,Manu, and that they could still be playing CL football the season after next, if they can win it. It?s a poor competition.

Forest will win the Conference, if they don't have such a great season next year, they'll qualify for the Europa League. Should they continue to build, they should win the Europa and qualify for the UCL that way.

It looks like an easy way to qualify for the UCL.

With the UCL players who are KO'd at the group stage not dropping down to the Europa anymore it's a lot easier to win as a competition.
