Yes, Goodison really is the best ever - saddens me to think it's gone. I'd take in a women's game just to be there again.
Slightly smaller, but if it still existed I'd have the Baseball Ground right up there

More good ones - Sheff Utd, Fulham, Orient, Hibs, Halifax....even Rochdale
More bad ones - Birmingham, Barnet, Harrogate

Of the ones I've actually been to -

Best - Sheffield United (I've been to bigger and newer but atmosphere was brilliant).

Worst - Hereford (of the current 92 it would be Colchester or Shrewsbury because of their location.

It's hard to separate the ground itself and your experience on the day. Objectively, Hereford is an awful ground, but the day I went we won 4-1 and Martyn Busby made his debut. Same with Sheffield United in reverse, it was a horrible experience in 1976, fans in our escort got picked off one by one and we had to run down a side street at some Sheffield fans to get away, then a lad got his teeth kicked out in the toilet, while Plod sat on fishing stools facing the pitch. And we lost 1-0.

All my favourites are from London, especially Fulham and Charlton, I think I went to those 7 times each. Worst were Middlesborough, Luton and Grimsby, Crewe was grim too although no threat whatsoever. You could say the Old Den was bad but it was quite an experience so I'll put that in the good ones.

Went to see Peterborough away at Hereford in the Cup (flatmate was a Peterborough fan). Terrible 0-0 draw but ground (Edgar Street?) notable for being almost square to look at and for one of the away fans with a loud whispered aside. "... and Tudor's gone down" which is part of Motson's iconic commentary in the build up to the Ronny Radford goal. I love crap grounds unless the crapness is through lack of character.

Worst: Colchester is shocking. Southend has also become objectively shocking but love is not about objectivity and it has character.
Best: Goodison was ace and an Evertonian mate had his wedding reception there. I also love Canvey Town's ground

Yeah some strange rankings - but it's very subjective dependent on home experience or away end, where you sit, afternoon v evening game and the significance of the game and result. The poster was obviously neutral so most likely took a home stand at most grounds so had better service at the food counters and wasn't treated like cattle at places like Grimsby for instance. He ranks Wimbledons ground but the game was versus MK Don's, so the place would be rocking. Imagine being at Meadow Lane v F-Word as opposed to Salford to put it into perspective.

That said its a good read and an amazing achievement getting to them all despite not with his team.

I've been to just over 100 now, mostly with Notts, and the odd England game and also Napoli, so ....

Favorites
Newcastle - simply the friendliness of the fans and a cracking atmosphere
Carlisle - great views for away fans.
Goodison Park - like others a great stadium and sad to see it go
Doncaster - nice compact ground, when full it's a great atmosphere

Worst
Southend - has a sloping pitch, and at the time, in the away end you could only see the top half of the opposite goal
Grimsby - due to overhanded policing treating you like cattle
Wembley - over priced and very expensive. OK to watch club football but go watch an England game and its sanitized and awful.
Macclesfield - what a dump - but interested to see how improved it is now
Crewe - always think there is an accident waiting to happen there. One exit for the entire away end.

Norwich was tidy and still had character when I went there. Villa Park felt majestic but totally out of place with its' surroundings, or at least where we parked. Molineux was a shock with two stands closed but glad I got to see most of it as I'd seen it on TV and stand near the top of that huge terrace.
Have to admit the first time I went to Field Mill I couldn't believe how good their main stand looked compared to anything at our ground.

Fword's was genuinely odd and definitely not befitting of their then recent success with the main stand half the size of the one opposite and a tiny home end.
