Bollox. I lived there from 75 - 79 and also went to Spurley Hey and it was a decent area then, probably went downhill after I'd left the area so can't comment. 6 years is a long time.

Name rings a bell though I can't put a face to it. Were you one of those kids who hund around the bull ring just above Coleridge entrance? I were the other end opposite Beresford's shop, junction Finley road/st johns

Well st John's rd but close enough we used to hang around in the orchard behind Finley road
