    However, my point is.

I's June 29th. The new Football Tax year starts on July 1st.

The players aren't back for Pre-season yet.

    How is it a fiasco?

Because the Red filth have blown 63mil on Cunha & are gonna jizz 70+mil on Bummo whilst throwing 250 grand a week, EACH, at the pair of them?

Because City & Chelsea have signed players ahead of the Club world cup, a tournament in which they are gonna to each bag a minimum of 40million quid?

    Because Arsenal have signed Zubamendi?

I was disappointed that Delap chose Chelsea, but, he looked at the options Isak or Jackson, plus, no doubt the 50-100k a week more in wages Chelsea slapped on the table and it was clear that he was only ever going to Chelsea. However, I'm not calling at a FIASCO. It is what it is.

Arsenal still haven't signed a striker. Sesko, Ekiteke, Newcastle scouted, made offers and nearly signed years ago. Proving that our recruitment team is at the elite level. However, like everything in life, it's about timing.

Look at the Tino & Hall signings. Did we need them when we signed them? No, you can absolutely argue it was 2 positions we NOT need to sign players in. We had good Full backs and everyone, me included questions the clubs decision to sign them. Especially when they barely played to start with. We thought Hall was an Ashworth signing dumped on Howe and he didn't want him... Howe wrong we were!

It'll be a fiasco if we get to September 1st and don't have a first team right winger, a quality younger right sided CB & quality cover for Alexander Isak to share the goal scoring burden next season.

As it is, I don't know what all the fuss is about.

Gan oot for a waark and mehbees have a pint or two in a beer garden with the missus, talk to some normal folks about none Newcastle United things. Then when we do sign someone lads, it's be a canny surprise.

In reality, it's not an accumulation. Our frustrations at the lack of incoming signings over the last 3 windows don't have any baring on this window. It has no baring on what the players think or feel.

If I were to guess, obviously this means nothing and I have Sh!t for brains. The only thing that matters to the players is:

    1. Qualification for the Champions League
    2. Winning a Trophy - being League Cup Champions Olay Olay Olay
    3. Being part of a happy stable winning group
    4. Having a highly motivated & tactically genius level manager who's insane ambition matches their own
    5. Salary not money grabbing but in terms of being paid what they are worth - Value - like 3 ties into being valued and respected

From what I know of high performing individuals in business and the retired ex-Pro's I've engaged with that is what i came to know about the character. More or less of course, not all are the same.
    Not really..

When a player (especially a young one with a partner) joins a club he looks for friends within that group, he trains with them daily, he isnt home most of the day and most weekends....

    His partner/wife is.. alone..

this is a massive factor in players coming to Newcastle, this has been stated one of the main reasons players with wives look to go to London, they know what to expect at London, they have heard of London..

Gone are the days of players signing for whoever, 90% of footballers make their decisions based on what their partner wants and their partner wants bright lights and shopping.. not Eldon Square or the metro centre..

    These are facts..

Whoever we do get lets just hope they're not 4th and 5th choice.. or another Guehi saga

    You raise a good point.

Maybe a strategy aimed at the partners, producing a glossy brochure of attractions and support networks, houses etc etc. NE has a bad image IMO. wrongly so too.

You'd be surprised at how long a way that might go.

Yeah, I usually use brave as my browser because of the ads.

Back on it in Safari but they hijack the thread with all sorts of stuff I now feel the impulse to buy

But in Response to this thread. I don’t see anyone we have missed out on

The people that have moved have moved for inflated fees and wages and are not what we need

We need a striker to play second fiddle - in a World Cup season

A right winger who can offer at least the same as Murphy but many want better - who two seasons ago that would have been easy to do. But it is now going to take a bit more homework to get in someone who can offer 20 direct goal involvements from the right wing well done Murph btw we will need more than a flat track bully ( sorry miggy ❤️)now to displace him

A CB to push or replace the unbreakable mighty Schar (I am convinced he has a Mr Glass taking all his injuries for him - oh, hi Wilson )

And I would love another midfield brick wall for win JL is otherwise unavailable.

I am pretty calm about it all, for now at least. However that being said, I will likely be fuming end of the window IF nobody signs.

But hey - it is July tomorrow and a new PSR cycle, I’ll just wait for the announcement at 12:01am

I couldn't log on for a couple of days. Changed my browser to Firefox and that 'invalid request' message disappeared.

You raise some valid points about players choosing the stinking LONDON clubs ahead of us, HOWEVER, 3 or 4 years ago, Amanda Staley was able to sell the dream to the likes of TRIPPIER, BRUNO, ISAK, POPE, GORDON, BARNES and BOTMAN !!!!

WHAT THE HELL HAS HAPPENED SINCE THAT PAUL MITCHELL KUNT STEPPED FOOT HERE ????? The simple answer is a big fat NOTHING !!!!

The good news is that no-hoper has packed his toys and f@Cked off to wherever, GOOD RIDDANCE.

NEXT: Will we sell ISAK? The pursuit of Isak by LIVERPOOL never seems to stop, and one wonders whether it may be time to cash in, for at least 150 to 200 MILLION. Imagine what that money could do, at least 3 or 4 top players - and we don't have that KUNT, Ashley around anymore to pocket it all for his gambling addiction.

What I read two months ago must have been complete *******s about a war chest we supposedly had for this window - I heard well over 125 million !!!! Now we are arguing over 5 million dollars being the difference in getting a deal done or not. Most of our other rivals are getting deals done, and are strengthening their squads significantly. THOUGHTS?

Well Mitchel brought in a load of highly rated youngsters, that even if they don't make it should net us good profit for PSR. He also brought in Bunce which totally overhauled our medical dept as shown by the lesser amount of injuries this season.

But aye, first team he did **** all.

Isak. . . we had him off to Arsenal all last window and it didn't happen. I'll be worried if we've not signed anyone by end of July as he might be looking then.

We probably do have that warchest but we couldn't do anything till July 1st due to the PSR windows - now that has passed I think we'll see movement.
