Looking at this fixture I can see Jimmy changing it up, I think he knows it's last chance saloon and anything other than a change of formation will expedite his departure.
Will he go full cup final mode? I doubt that but I think he knows full well that 1 up isn't working in the slightest for us and Nisbet and Lazetic will start as a defined 2 up top.
I think it'll be Karlsson and Bilalovic on the wings due to Jimmy no way dropping Karlsson and Bilalovic at least getting to the bye line on Tue night and getting crosses in rather than coming inside at every opportunity.
Shinnie will be in the middle alongside Armstrong with them alternating over getting forward to support and dropping back to protect.
Jensen and Gyamfi in the full back roles with Knoester and Tobers (if he's fit and good to go) in the centre with Mitov in goals.
Will it work? I have no idea but we need to get service from the wings into the box and I believe Nisbet will score if that happens and Lazetic will prove to be a handful due to his size and aggression.
At least yer wellies are empty yssb ...efter every geme min...just an pity its no in the goal aye..
Game day.
I fancy a 2-0 win for the home side. And I'm rarely right about these things.
Match day.
Just like the cup final, I have a feeling that we get our first goal(s) and three point today.
Also take comfort from the fact that we might be sitting bottom of the league, but we are still supporters of the greatest team the world.
Some sad c*nts will awaken today, as Dundee United supporters. Let that fact sink in and think about how lucky we actually are.
Days like the 24th May 2025 are what make the day to day grind of supporting Aberdeen worthwhile.
dearie me
5 defenders today
Aberdeen: Mitov, Devlin, Knoester, Milne, Tobers, Gyamfi, Shinnie, Palaversa, Aouchiche, Karlsson, Nisbet.
hmm 3-5-1-1 lets see what happens
Tobers!
That I didn't expect, just hope the loon is fit.
We asked for change we have it.
Tonights game has shades of the McInnes season, where we got beat by Motherwell in the cup and then played them in the league in the next game, with McKenna in the line up and may have been his first start for us and we got the win that kick started our season.
Tonight is all about winning points.
