The concept of the Jewish people being the chosen people is rooted in biblical texts, particularly in Deuteronomy 7:6, which states, "For you are a people consecrated to your God: of all the peoples on earth Adonai your God chose you to be God’s treasured people". This belief is central to Judaism and is expressed in various Jewish traditions and prayers, emphasizing their unique mission and responsibility to fulfil God's covenant. The idea of being chosen is not merely about racial superiority but rather about a spiritual and ethical obligation to serve God and the world.
The idea being that you can drop megatons of bombs on to the heads of Jewish hostages and then continue to kill Palestinian kids because Hamas can't find the corpses buried under the same rubble the bombs created in the first place. Madness.
Now that the conflict is dying down mon ami, I'm investigating my next holiday being in the Holy Land. I had the intention never to fly again but for such a brave people and nation I shall make an exception.

I was mesmerised mon ami while watching the first funeral procession of the first returned dead hostage, I had no idea Israel contained so many white skinned, blonde Jews.

Not at all, BT. Happy to discuss politics any time, on the correct thread. We do not need your left-wing deranged comments on everything.

And then you wonder why this site is dying!

Why are my comments "deranged"? So basically, you are saying that we aren’t civilised enough to have a debate over the Gaza/West Bank issue, just because we argue from incongruent platforms. What difference does a thread make?

Talking about Alan Pace swerved the "Are you a Catholic" question brilliantly on Spanish TV on Sunday. He said he will go to his own "iglesia" when he gets home.

I know why this site is diminishing and it's not because of politics, it's because of the plethora of social media platforms available for Burnley fans from across the globe.
