A typical labour budget increasing welfare payments and hitting those who work hard. Less incentive to work with the huge amount of benefits thrown around and in some houses making the third plus child will start tonight!

Well in my company we won?t be increasing our payroll so a staff member will be sacrificed as will be the case in many businesses.

Leaked budget? No surprise there with this bunch of clowns 🤡

Just how delusion is this labour government? I’ve seen some statements out that they’ve given the under 21s a pay rise. FFS.. who do they think is actually paying for it?
Also, they claim that they’ll benefit that age group.. jeez i’d like to think most of these in this age group live at home and not paying rent. They don’t buy their own food - did they really need that tiny extra? It comes across as desperation maybe, because they feel they are losing younger voters they needed to do something.. fact is they are losing every age group. Id say they’ve lost the plot, but i dont think they ever had any sense in the first place.

How Labour can claim to be the defender of the working class is beyond me. The last group that they are looking after are those who work hard for a living. The group they protect are those whose lives are funded by the rest of us. What this government should be doing is sorting out the feckless who claim benefits that they are not entitled to. These individuals have it off to a fine art, sadly at the expense of those who are really deserving. Living off benefits is far too easily achieved in this country and this present government is aiding and abetting this.

In the modern world of 24 hour markets and news, a single day budget is outdated. To have it 'approved' by the OBR first just adds to the straightjacket modern governments have to deal with. This is why we have so many leaks, to test how people will react, before the fact. The OBR was an EU construct, foisted on all members, after Greece and other southern European countries lied about the health of their finances. We are no longer in the EU, so in my opinion, this quango needs to go.

It’s not the only quango that needs to be scrapped, there are far too many of them, filled with vastly overpaid people delivering diddly squat.

We got Starmer, America got Trump. Both voted for by the majority of the population. Two nations, same end. Not what either would have wanted in reality.

Be careful what you vote for.

That said, the choices are pretty dire to be fair.

Anyway. We are, all four of us unusually, up in Birmingham for the night and will be at the game tomorrow. Hopefully three points. COYB.
