12.50pm mine pal so afraid not. How many you done so far?

NB. Just read this on their site.....

We currently have healthy stocks of O positive . As a result, you may find limited opportunities to book an appointment in the short term. Please help us help patients by booking your next date to donate a little further ahead than usual. Thank you.

That's good to see and read.

Nowhere near your total only 10 or so.

Started late in life after Mrs BM58 passed away, thought I should put something back into the system.

Health issue put a pause to donations but now back on track.

    Completed donation 25 yesterday.

Ought to be double that but for the times i have been ineligible to donate as my aunties next door neighbours dog walker knew someone who took a paracetamol yesterday.
It isnt quite that strict but felt like it at times.

I have been turned down a couple of times. Once because I failed the finger prick test and the other was because I had been to the dentist in the previous 7 days.

My last donation has taken me to 56 now. Likewise, restructuring of work, lifestyle etc stopped me from donating more but, strongly wished I had done. When they stopped the blood bus from visiting my last workplace, I always found it hard to park in Sheffield City centre behind the Cathedral. That sort of put me off for a long time.

Many years later, I caught an appeal on TV asking for more donations as they were urgently needed and that's what kick started it all over again for me. It's interesting to see where they send your blood via the map they send you, my last lot ended up in Blackpool.

Keep donating pal, apparently yours give people that extra easy feeling......must be all the ale in it

I have donated at many different places, my first ever donation was under old Mexborough library
    on Bank street, Mexborough.
Places I have donated at -
[1] Mexborough under old library [2] Mexborough Montagu Hospital [3] Swinton Civic Hall
[4] Pastures lodge at Denaby [5] School across from Rosehill Park Rawmarsh, on Kilnhurst road.
[6] School at Hoyland [7] Netherwood school at Wombwell. [8] Montgomery Hall at Wath-on-Dearne.
