Risdale was before my time. I understand he was the progenitor of the current corruption and that Leeds has seriously suffered over the decades for his sins. Lumping the other 3 you reference into the category of Citeh, Gunners, or the others that skirt PSR rules is a fools errand.

You spew bile and vitriol just to get a charge out of people. You might need to take a break from your miserable life and the interwebs for a while and go out and walk around in the real world. Maybe get a fishing pole and catch a meal and get the simple satisfaction of getting back to our roots.

I'm very aware of the real world and no one has ever accused me of being asleep at the switch on things that really matter.

Don't see how my last post contained any bile, spewed or otherwise, simply suggesting that the constant complaints about club's flouting current regulations is pure hypocrisy when you consider the behaviour of the Leeds owners I refer to.

I'm not one of those who would support any LUFC owner without question, however I suspect the vast majority of Leeds supporters would be happy to have owners like Kroenke or the Saudi royal family etc. as long as Leeds featured in the PL top 6 and in European competition(s), something that is a dim distant dream away under present ownership.

As for the second paragraph of your post, you seriously think those clubs you mention are stupid enough as to repeat the monumental blunders of previous LUFC owners when they play the system?

Like I say, get real, do unto others as you would be done to and WAKE UP to the real world, it's not going to be all sweetness and light!
You are talking the usual gibberish... far from throwing money around Bates was an asset stripper and hid money for personal gain to the detriment of the club..nothing to do with cooking the LUFC books to hide spending. GFH were similar, Cellino and Radz as far as I remember were a big part of sorting out those hidden personal assets and again nothing to do with breaking financial rules. Ridsdale was an idiot who openly overspent and gambled on future profits.
You obviously don't engage with Leeds fans, none I know are jealous of the so called top 6 with their plastic clubs/grounds/fans

Did I say Bates was profligate in spending on the club? No I did not. He and all the others used their wealth (if they had any, not forgetting GFH!), for their own benefit and "played the system" as defined by the legal system and footballing authorities for the same ends, exactly as the contemporary owners of the majority of the PL clubs. As for Cellino and Radrizzani, take off the blinkers. Cellino was as much a liability as Ridsdale but at least he was an "honest" fool, and you only have to remember how Radrizzani tried to remortgage the ground whilst trying to sell the club!

We have NOT had reputable owners since Manny, and I include 49-ers Enterprises in my scepticism, given their readiness to acquire a "competitor" club in the form of Glasgow Rangers (and who else would they want to add to their stable).

As for the view from fans, I'd suggest it's you who isn't engaged with the majority. Have a look at the "social media" that Spaldy appears to be so dismissive of if you want some indication of the direction of travel. I don't subscribe to their thinking but it most certainly exists.

None of our owners played the system to win titles by hiding money deals... so I've no idea about what this "playing the system" has to do with the OP... there is financial planning correctness in say the Glazers taking over that mob, buying the club with it's own money, or Chelszki buying players on long term contracts or indeed Radz looking to use the ground as currency... not the way you want your club run but technically above board and again nothing to do with winning titles that are clearly now tainted.

As for the majority of fans on social media wanting us to be more like the plastics... i don't see it... there's a few who shout loud about removing the manager, that they know a winning formulae!!!!!... not that I take online stuff as a good reflection of the majority of fans views.

The historical "playing the system" occurred, in the main, before the current obscene amounts of money (primarily from Sky/otger tv rights deals) became available. I don't think I'm making to many outrageous assumptions when I suggest Ridsdale and Bates would have been VERY involved in getting their snouts in the trough, exploiting every opportunity to corrupt.

GFH never got out of the starting blocks but their mere success at gaining ownership shows how corrupt they were.

Perhaps Cellino and Radrizzani weren't "guilty" of attempting to win titles by "splashing the cash", but the evidence is clear that neither were fit owners, both willing to exploit their ownership status for their own ends putting those head and shoulders above the interests if the club.

You mention "winning titles by hiding money deals", yet the number of domestic titles won by those in the top 6 is miniscule. Only Schitty are in that somewhat jaundiced group. Not very successful, buying titles, hmmm?

And lastly, I find it very tiresome that you persist in taking one of my statements and put your own interpretation on it. I never suggested that ANY Leeds supporters would ever accept being regarded as "plastics". What i said and happy to repeat it, is that there are vast swathes of Leeds supporters who care more about the performance of their team on the pitch than wanting to spout some sanctimonious twaddle about club owners earning a crust, or acquiring a winning squad.
