We need a total change. Progressive foreign coach to blow the cloth cap and whippets mentality apart.
Nice in principle, but there will always be a significant number in the stands who want blood and guts football, and 'progressive' coaches (foreign or not) won't be asking players to slide in heavily to get the fans going.

Whoever it is, the fan base will be divided because that's how we are. Some will "back him 'until xyz'" and wait patiently to be vocal about any and every shortcoming, others will properly support the appointment. At this stage, the biggest concern is using the time we have between now and Easter to get someone in to see this season out. Warnock is the 'logical' choice if we're trying to retain L1 status because it suits all involved. If we've given up on that, look to secure the right man to perform the next rebuild - The lower reaches of L1 are no different to L2 as far as that project goes.

I can assure you some of the Hungarian and Polish coaches, won't tolerate, players shirking tackles and they are not tactical luddites either

Good luck to him but this should have been done months ago, this relegation is on MH and TS. As normal the club statement doesn't inspire us to think they know what they are doing, by saying now the club will start the process for a replacement.

Get ready for Tony's usual statement in approximately 3 weeks saying that we've had lots of quality applicants...

He probably would have done but every time he was on the brink Rotherham seemed to put in a performance and pick up a result that bucked the trend. That astonishing 0-4 win at Exeter stands out but with hindsight it might have been better if that score-line had been reversed and followed immediately with a change of manager/head-coach.

Other clubs around us have had a replacement ready to take over and look at the improvement in these club's performances. The club have known for some time, this model is broken,so they have had plenty of time to bring someone in.I would like to think this is the case with our club.

You may have to. I'm not convinced there is a deal of depth to the pool of progressive coaches who also expect firm challenges (rather than well-drilled high presses) and would be viable targets for Rotherham.

Matt let his heart rule his head. He should have held out and followed PW to MK Dons. Would now virtually have another promotion on his CV.
If Owls have any sense they'll take PW to Hillsborough next season.
Guess we'll now see what the players are made of. Whether they were playing for the manager or not.

Nigel Clough would be my choice but think it will be Darren Ferguson
