I took the liberty of bending the rules to allow a female lead to qualify as a girl band. In fairness, some of the women in the bands might be a bit miffed at being called 'girl'... everyone is offended by everything these days...

You don't have to be a music snob to think a band is sh*te. There are plenty of unfashionable bands in my collection, and some 'cool' bands I'd never waste my time with.
