Looks like this is a done deal. Now let's get a real strike partner to help him 🧡

I'll be delighted if a deal is done for Moult. Out-and-out strikers are hard to come by and to sign Loius who is a proven goal-scorer at SPL level is a no-brainer if both parties can agree a deal.

But, as you say Stoke, we need another decent striker in the squad to support and compete with him.

Also, hoping that the likes of the Fotheringham, Watt, Sibbald and Holt (if he stays) can help out on the goals front.

If Tony Watt shows what he's capable of instead of diving at the first contact he will chip in. That two touch finish v Ayr (?) was sublime. I'm hoping the club come up with a nice wee surprise on this. I'm pretty sure we'll be looking, the question mark is over the budget available

Sidibe at StJ would be worth a look, still think Si Murray is a no brainer too

Agree with both. Sidibe plucked from nowhere too. Always said some real quality in the English lower leagues. A market we rarely tap in to.

I'm wanting better than Simon Murray for a starting 11 TBH.

I would take him as back up/squad payer if he's out of contract and he's happy to take what's on offer.

Happy to go with whoever Goodwin goes for TBH. I think his track record in recruitment for us has been good so far. As it stands, I'm putting my trust and faith in him to get the right boys in.

I think Moult is without a doubt SPL level but as for the others I'm not too sure and certainly not as regular starters .

Fotheringham has been a good championship level player but the truth is it is a big step up next season so, whole im a fan , the jury is still out until we actually see how he handles that step up .

I would be expecting Holt to be back up CH next seasons,. As well as he's done this season I think we need slightly better .

Watt wont cut it I'm afraid. I'm not doubting his ability but he is a slower player than the one we signed from Motherwell , his work rate is really poor and if im being honest he doesn't look in particular great shape either .We cant afford any passengers next season or we will face a very long hard season.

I said it previously we need fresh start next season anda total clear out simialr to what that lot across the road did last summer .
We need to offload more than the 15 that have so far been let go if we are to stay up let alone get in the top 6 as Goodwin is indicating is his taget .

Simon Murray is getting in the region of £3k-£4k a week at Ross County . Are we going to match that given the money the club has been haemorrhaging the last few years ?

I agree. I think Fotheringham is still developing and will struggle to impact games on a regular basis. Watt will most likely deliver good 90 minute performance in patches as he mostly did this season. His best performances were usually off the bench.

Said many times that loyalty based on fan popularity is unwise but let's wait and see what Goodwin does. It's a great chance to reset though and our survival in the first season back is at stake.
