Spin.
We have better players than St Midden, even our second string. But even Jim Goodwin is a better manager than the numpty we have to suffer. He must compete with Levein for the most incompetent erse in the league. Stewarty 27 can you give me the contact details of your dealer? You must be on the best hallucinogenic drugs in Scotland. Do you stay in the Broch?
Last season I said we should maybe look at Jim Goodwin. It was an easy victory for him today against Del
It was a horror show, one of many.
Milne doesnt mind though, if we can squeak into europe by the back door again he will be happy.
Winning something doesnt matter.
My pal's landlord, Geordie, in the mid-70s confessed that he's boycotted Pittodrie since the day they removed the Wee Alickie billboard in front of the Section Y floodlights. I canna even mind that, and I've been attending the place since 1965, but I'm beginning to catch up with his reasoning.
I blame Tommy Rae.
And Barrie Mitchell.
And Thatcher, naturally.
Just finished watching the game back as i missed it earlier... wish i hadn't bothered, horrendous stuff...
A few scattered observations...
> Curtis Main is as bad as expected. Never going to score or create goals - dreadful player, and seems like a bit of a nob as well.
> Curtis Main's "goal" was one of the most embarrasing things i've ever witnessed... what on earth was he doing?! He should've been yellow carded for that - blatantly just kicked it out the keepers hand and then kicked it in the net. Ridiculous.
> The new lad at RB was hopeless.
> Ojo was invisible for the first half hour.
> Is Hedges a winger? Why have i never seen him collect the ball in the final third? He's always dropping back taking it off our defenders... get further up the park!
> Wright and McLennan were both ineffective.
> Our shooting was awful
> If i was James Wilson I'd probably walk out on the club - bad enough having Sam Cosgrove keeping you out the team (although at least he's on a great run of form so it's understandable), but imagine Stevie May being picked ahead of you last year, and now Curtis bloomin Main ahead of you this year... then imagine sitting watching your team 1-0 to St bloomin Mirren and not getting on until there's only 4 minutes to go?! Actually unbelievable from McInnes!!! Forget about Main and May and give Wilson some game time.
> McInnes persisting with this stupid passing notes of paper around is embarrasing too - chucking it down with rain, lets pass some soggy paper around - total idiot.
I'm sure i could think of many other things to moan about if i put my mind to it, but those ones came without even thinking!
Well I’m f’uckin delighted I bothered to travel down for that.
Utterly soaked walking to and from ground to car & then watched that garbage. At least my buddies supporting mate who drove us through went fairly easy on us on the way home - probably just returning the favour for how easy we went on them during the game.
First half hour was a disgrace. Complete no show. No aggression, no ambition, going through the motions & second to everything. Unacceptable.
Last 15 of first half & second half we were the better team but just huffed and puffed to little effect. Should have had a pen but that c’unt McLean just the usual.
Where to start with that? Our wingers provided zero width & penetration. I’ll cut McLennan some slack as he’s just back fae injury (again) but Wright is not good enough - get rid.
Our full backs never got up the park in support of attack at all. Leigh caught out of position for the goal & no tracking the runner fae midfield - good finish fae the boy though.
The new boy wasn’t great, but wasn’t awful so let’s see how he goes next couple of weeks.
Midfield created little again - constant sideways passes & wall passes back & forward. No wonder we create so few clear cut chances with that.
I know Hibs got humped, but look at the pass Scott Allan played through for their goal. Great vision & creativity - we have nobody who can possibly do that. Again I don’t understand why we refuse to go after a player like that. It’s a huge gap in the squad.
The silence on Brysons absence is deafening - & worrying. This years perma crock? Let’s hope not.
Main was gash - as much cutting edge as a low fat yoghurt. Can see why he scores f’uck all goals. Not the answer & really don’t know what he was signed for.
Dangerous signs of regression to the pish of last year. Need to sort it out, & dinna give me that guff about tiredness after midweek Del - Huns didn’t seem tired.
We clearly just don’t have the squad to cope with Europe & the league so it’s probably for the best we’ll be out on Thursday.
We cannot afford anything like that next week. Cups are the only remote chance of success, though given the uglies are already streaking ahead, we’ll meekly submit to either when the time came anyway. Milne will be perfectly happy with that though...
Really not good enough by a long way today. Worrying & depressingly familiar...
