How on earth would you know where Gauld has played the best football of his career? Have you been following his career abroad? The fact he won the 2019-20 LigaPro Player of the Year award in Portugal, went on to be Farenses player of the year once they were promoted and is favourite to land newcomer of the year award in 2022's Major Soccer League would probably suggest it wasn't at Tannadice.

I wouldn't but it's not rocket science the lad left United went to Lisbon never got 1 game in the league for them dropped down a division done well by all accounts then moved to the MLS where players make a quick buck at the end of their career.... it's not hard to see the lads career never went the way it was imagined

You've failed to address the fact he finished in the top ten for goals and assists (9 goals & 7 assists) on his return to the Primiera Liga with Farense before moving to the MLS, or was that deliberate? That's something he didn't achieve at Utd so again, saying he played his best football at Utd is, imo, incorrect.
